Its very useful for university students. And it completely replaced my Notebooks. I cant believe that Samsung never continued on with that Series.
Anonymous, 11 May 2016No Tab S for 2016, so it's their 2016 flagship. You stop the nonsense.Fool. 16:10 is made both for landscape and portrait. Else they would use something silly like 16:9.
What a waste, having such a great ratio, excelling at both portrait and landscape and using it only in landscape. Why don't you buy of those atrocious 16:9 windows tabs then? They can only be used landscape, they were meant to only be used in landscape...
Mkdc, 11 May 2016Sony in the high end, and nexus in the mid range are the only android tablets worth the money. If Sony would release a tablet with proper pen support I'd stop caring what Samsung do.
Right now my Note 10.1 is still going fine, but eventually it will need replacing, and Samsung certainly don't seem interested in providing anything that can take its place.
Anonymous, 11 May 2016It's 16:10, 16:10 is very close to 3:2 (15:10) that Microsoft uses. Portrait orientation makes... moreI'd say the opposite. I have a 16:10 tablet (an Note 10.1) and almost never use it in portrait orientation. To me this is an absurd decision.
AnonD-231974, 11 May 2016Portrait orientation with 16:9 ratio... Well done Samsung, you had only one job! It's 16:10, 16:10 is very close to 3:2 (15:10) that Microsoft uses. Portrait orientation makes sense.
I just hope that physical butons would go extinct in tablets, too much travel time. Replace them with gestures like in Microsoft and Apple tablets. Tablets are not phones, kill the buttons.
Anonymous, 10 May 2016He is a troll. Do not listen. You are a troll, I well supported my argument. Samsung only makes low end tablets. Pay attention. Their Note Tablet from 2013 was their last Note tablet. Since then only mid range or low ehd tabs for Samsung.
In 2016 they reached a new low. Tab A is the best android tablet they have released, my comment is valid. Stop trolling.
Muthu, 10 May 2016Dude, that note 10.1 was their flagship back then. Do you think this Tab A is their flagship? ... moreIt's their android flagship. They have no better tablet for 2016. It's Apples to Apples. Pay more attention.
These tablets have magnets on bottom. Dont know why (my assumtion - for some special cover).
Anonymous, 10 May 2016Wow Samsung!
Tab Note 10.1 2014 was released 3 years ago and it is better than this!
Are... moreYou guys surprise me sometimes. I mean your ignorance is off the chart.
It's a Tab A meaning midrange all the way. Yes the note pro 2014 was and is better simply cause it was a flagship.
Please quit the nonsense now, it's getting old.
Just release a freakin' tablet with the best specs already! Just put a Snapdragon 820 and call it a day!
Portrait orientation with 16:9 ratio... Well done Samsung, you had only one job!
AnonD-170467, 10 May 2016It's official. Sony makes the best android tabletsSony in the high end, and nexus in the mid range are the only android tablets worth the money.
A tablet without front facing stereo speakers is almost an pointless device. It is, after all, fundamentally a media device. I can't believe they didn't update this.
The current Samsung tablets are beautifully designed elegant things. Clearly the best tablets. Except their sound through the speakers is hollow and vastly inferior, even compared to much lesser and cheaper devices, like the Asus tablets with stereo front facing speakers.
There is plenty of room to do this on a tablet (unlike on phones which have to have significantly larger bezels relative to their size). There is just zero reason (except extreme cheapness?) for Samsung to overlook this (especially given it is not the cheapest tablet out there anyway.)
What a disappointment.
AnonD-170467, 10 May 2016It's official. Sony makes the best android tabletsOh sure, they're making so much good money out of their overpriced tablets
Anonymous, 10 May 2016What the hell is this? Are we going back to 2013? Why do you release an outdated/low specs ta... moreIt has decent specs for a mid-range tablet. It's from the Tab A series not the Tab S series.
