Dave, 16 Jul 2010According to the BBC website, it's fixed one fault but causes another one which causes the pho... moreit drop calls because apple only 'covers' the signal lost pretending that everything is ok but the reality is that the signal is still weak after covering that spot
Signal bar on iPhone or on any other phone can be adjust only changing the display/screen it fixed manufactured with several line on the display but you can't manipulated that with only software update ... it just self public opinion matter that iPhone already set a softwar for that so people " Believe" that their phone it fine now...without any actual science and technology proof
what's really sad about this situation are the Apple fans willing to defend Apple's faults and the way Steve Jobs is covering it all up.
so steve takes out his iphone 4 and shows the crowd he uses it in the 'death grip' and never has had a problem, then why did he tell everyone else your holding it wrong that way?!
Some much needed questions form the reporters are indeed making stevo angry
Apple is having a press conference at 6pm (UK time) this evening, Friday 16 July. Check O2 website after 7pm for more info

Perhaps they had the plans upside down? :D

Apple have made a fortune off the ipad and the iphone. The sales speak for themselves.

Jobs just admitted there was a problem, and said that Apple will give full refunds to anyone who is disappointed with it. Also, throwing in bumpers is good business as it shows that he's not "distracting" people from the problem, he is solving it.
Read the live twitter account, and you'll see that you are wrong.
the q & a section is funny, they're not answering the questions properly at all just skirting around them, the live feeds for reports is good to see, poor steve
Jobs has also said what a lot of people believe.
The antennagate scandal has been blown way out of proportion. Not that many people are actually experiencing problems. It doesn't help on here that the ihaters make things up about people being next to antennas and still losing signal (lol), and I suspect most of the complaints are coming from those on AT&T (who are simply awful)
[deleted post]My comment was referring to the proximity problem. Read my 2 posts again.

Andreas Porticali, 16 Jul 2010The new update is great, 5 bars full signal even in the low signal areas or previously no sign... more"Remember what Steve Jobs said, Hardware takes time to "settle in" because its cold has to warm up"
WTF!? Haha.. Dude, it's a receiver for gods sake, it's a 3G radio antenna, it either works and you have reception or it don't. It's not a speaker or earphone membrane where the elastic titan rubber needs to soften up cause it's streched tight.
It's like if you buy a radio or digital Tv receiver, come home, start it up at there is no reception, do you think you need to warm up the radio or the Tv receiver first for a couple of months before it works? HAHA!! Wtf!?
Like a someone else said, i just love the way you say "Remember what Steve Jobs said" ... LOL.. fu**ing hilarious!
so there you have it,Steve deflects as much attention from the iphone 4s faults, and refuses to recall so free cases, alot of fanboys cheated today out of their hard cash.
Jobs has promised a free bumper case for every iphone 4.0 owner, and will refund within 30 days of purchase anyone not satisfied. And 0.55% of owners have complained about the antenna issue.
Oops. Shares just went up for Apple. Sorry ihaters, Apple will not be going bust over this. :)
