because look what I can do in flash: http://www.getjar.com/mobile/40182/ipics
can't wait any longer....can't wait to put my own widget on that flawless screen... love you Symbian...
Anonymous, 19 Jul 2010MAEMO CAME WELL BEFORE ANDROID AND BADA !! they copied maemo in everyway possible... those who... morewho cares if your precious maemo came before the Android and Bada, when these 2 platforms are far more popular than maemo will ever be?
xxxxxx , 19 Jul 2010with nokia patent gsm technology? Duh..they invented most of the GSM technologies and have had patents for the last 20 years at the least.
The UI looks so similar to Android. Speed and usability is going to determine its success.
MAEMO CAME WELL BEFORE ANDROID AND BADA !! they copied maemo in everyway possible... those who have maemo knows its way better than symbian when it comes to the UI... now if symbian 4 is being upgraded to its orginal way... they say we copied android or bada os !! lol wut a joke !!
lolme, 19 Jul 2010it looks kinda androish. well, anyway developers do not really have the choice here: either it... morei agree, how annoying is it when you have to mark select files. it really gets on my nervous. i think the Symbian 3 has it. or it better does or i'm going full Android.
Nokia should standardize their OS,facing some automatic restarts and crashes
it looks kinda androish. well, anyway developers do not really have the choice here: either it is said to be outdated or a copy or a mixture of several ui. the initiative for change is good but its not certain that people will adopt it.
and for god sake please put the "mark several" in your options because it saves a lot of time(different from having to tap :options> mark> mark this item for each item). im using a 5530 and i can say that its really annoying when i need too delete a lot of things. deleting one by one too is time consuming
The "menu" key is from all the menus in Motorola's Androids.
[deleted post]who said we were fooled?? duh
and we know that the resolution is less than vga. yr not stating a "revolutionary" statement here xD. but we got the widescreen format, ideal for vids unlike those having a 3:2 ratio screen
this is just the draft of symbian 4, the retail version of course is better than s3, more powerful and more funtionality than privious symbian version 3 with hdmi support, usbotg support and much more
meego is better than maemo and moblin, is the love child of these two os, the first priority that nokia and intel need to do is to make the ui suitable for mass market from where the profit is.
This year 2010 is the year for nokia to focus on the ui simplification while maintaining the funtionalities of their os
It's not you all about interface, it's about the limited amount of apps you got... correction, useful apps.
Will Symbian 4 be for touch screen nokias only? or will they also be available for the candybar type phones such as the future versions of the C5?
