Software optimization is a crucial part when it comes to battery life. I have Sony Xperia Z and since I updated it to 5.1.1 I have to say I am amazed! Before it took forever to change, but now it charges to 100% so fast that I thought something is wrong lol
And my phone doesn't heat up so much like before.
So when it comes to choosing a phone, the hardware is not the only thing that matters.
All I can say is that you cannot judge a brand just cos you had a bad experience with one model, or bad software on it.
Be smart and choose what you think is best, even though you might need to jump boats..
If you wanna be a fan boy, be a fan boy of quality, not just following blindly a brand like isheeps.
mir, 16 May 2016In a heartbeat? That's quite the fast data transfer you have there...Well, um, I mean during my initial device setup which is usually a few hours ;-)
[deleted post]Lol, your exchange made me laugh :-D
I then had to look up the specs for LeEco Le Max 2... hmm, great specs and it appears they include a 3.5mm jack adapter for head phones but I can fill up 64GB in a heart beat... I'm interested in reading more anecdotal reviews from actual owners!

Here is an interview. While there is a hardware implementation, it was only a software implementation for the xp. Not that it matters to people like us who don't really know how it works anyway :p
But they never said anything about it giving longer battery life, just that it would last longer because it doesn't depreciate as fast as you continuously charge it.
Looking at Sony's previous phones it probably will have good battery though. Even if the battery is a bit smaller.

It shouldn't take me to long ,maybe a year or two . I just hope nothing happens to Mr. Grey1213 in meantime .
You don't have to argue guys.. if you are a fan of a certain unit just stay there don't argue with other fan .. you have your own favorite units, don't compete with each other, kids fights cuz they are childish .. in short this is a useless arguement no need to say bad words
leonard80, 15 May 2016Are you done...??? Shhhhhhh...if you wer offered both the Sony xperia x performance or the sg... moreSo you're saying that I'm a troll? Or you are just a butt hurt Samsung fanboy? The Xperia X Performance can be better than any of these. This poll is just a matter of preferences, and phones are good in their own ways. Surveys are just conducted to know which phone fits many people's wants and needs. But that doesn't mean others who lost are bad phones already. We may never know what will happen. The S7 maybe can go more than 50%. The X Performance may actually go over 70%. Everything is possible. So stop trying to be a fanboy here. It's obvious that you are still immatured and wants your favorite brand to win.
Sony Xperia X Performance for The best software updates and many more!
Grey1213, 15 May 2016The qnovo software (yes, its only an software implementation) only increases the lifespan. It ... moreIt's actually more than a software. I don't know how Qnovo did that, but the battery technology behind it is a hardware-related stuff as well
viveksubhash, 15 May 2016i think the question should be..if you had to buy a phone with no monetary limits what will yo... morepay you for what ? your boring long letter? learn to make it short and not boring before you ask for cash. besides , there is nothing new in it , common sense .
hoqnq, 15 May 2016you need to work on your English comprehension dude.English is not the whole world you racist! You need to comprehend that fact.

I doubt that e.g. Asphalt 8 runs smooth on that S7 (and definitely not on that S6). :-(
Why don't Samsung for instance create both QHD and FHD-flagship devices. The latter will be cheaper and hence can be used as upper-midrange device while manufacturing and material costs can be shared. Instead of dumping A-, C-, J- series and eventually only support the S-series with updates anyway.
To stay on topic. The Xiaomi Mi5 doesn't support all the European LTE-bands so its pretty useless here :-(
Be Cool, 16 May 2016Well for all I see
S7 and S7Edge will beat every other phone here on this poll.
Do not let ... moreNo - actually I don't agree
If Samsung ONLY released the regular S7 I think HTC would give it a run for it's money - same with G5.
The additional features, battery life and pure beauty of the S7 Edge set it apart from the competition & I think Samsung's sales figures alone will contest to this.
An all rounder so powerful, well made AND aesthetically pleasing is bound to win every time as it ticks the majority of people's boxes.
It's certainly not for everyone - but with the Edge design Samsung hit the sweet spot this year.
