I don't get it..how can the engineers at Apple be so dumb to ignore this very simple fact, when you touch an antenna panel, you are actually providing it an "earth" source, thus nullifying its gain..That's a simple thing. Apple tried to do a good thing by increasing the receive area of it's antenna but then they should have thought about coating the metal body with some insulator!
Currently, denying at Steve Job's end is so pathetic. There's a problem, accept it & rectify it. Cell phones are here for like atleast 20 years, This is the very first time am hearing about "how to hold your cell phone right".
Am an Apple user myself and i surely don't want to be told how to hold my cell phone. The current issue is a serious one and there's no denying to it, so Apple..Solve it!

I think Apple new design has lots of potential, think about it "dropped phone calls on demand"!

Just touch that magic spot and that annoying caller (Mother-in-Law, wife, etc) just disappears like magic. Technically you did not hang up the phone and this reception problems affects everybody!!

Now i feel why the wifi wasn't working when steve jobs reveled the iphone at the mcw ...it was due to an antenna issue (i guess) ...apple should admit their flaw in their antenna design and stop talking about other phone makers and their antenna design

if you guys really paid attention you would see how at&t and apple screwed everyone up that is on at&t

                                      199 - 299$ for the iphone 4

little that apple told people and same with at&t
is the 3year contract you get with the iphone 4

if you get rid of the current phone which most have done

you are still stuck with the 3 year contract with no phone

and if you cancel the contract you have to pay it out or pay full for another phone
