In general, I have Nokia E72 and I have no problems with reception at all in almost all areas of Serbia, even when signal coverage is not excellent. Before Nokia, I had Motorola Q9h and also it works well through the countryside. I have tried Apple iPhone first generation from the friend, and even in the main cities like Belgrade and Novi Sad, it had problems with signal, mainly in GPRS transfer. Friend of mine now had iPhone 3G and he is satisfied, but the problem is weak 3G signal, and it is hard to discipline iPhone to go only as GSM/GPRS. I believe that most of problems with Apple is due to fact that they create phone for USA, not for the rest of the world. This affected also Motorola phones which is quite rare ones in eastern Europe, compared to Nokia which is the mainstay of GSM networks, like German cars in traffic.
dissing another brand to improve your own brand is incredibly amateur, shows poor character and a lack of integrity. Just fix it Steve. It's a bad look!
Apple aren't doing themselves any favours...
wtf Apple?! Maybe all companies should sue Apple for this immature act and point finger attitude. It's like 1st grade lol TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL!
Anonymous, 21 Jul 2010Is that why less and less people are buying nokia phones, while more and more people are buyin... moreit has a fault and yet you still say it's ok, of course this ip4 is doing well. over 2mil sad followers like yourself support this over priced piece of junk. tut tut ... sad but true
The thing is that they never compared their Iphone 4 to other brand phones that they showed in the same place, i bet if they compared it, it would lose all signal.
Plus other phones have internal antennas which are more protected than the iphone 4 from its ridiculous grip issues, and another fact is that any fall on the external antenna will damage it which will increase signal problems. Then u might as well install a radio station on it.
Anonymous, 21 Jul 2010Well that's you, and you are not the millions who bought the iphone and made it successful :)succesful? succesful a phone that has antenna issues? haha come on!
Why doesn't Apple just accept the mistake?
It doesn´t have the necessity of looking for handsets that according to Apple has similar problems....
People has used cellular phones for years..and We don't need somebody to teach us how to use them.
Simply It hasn´t appeared an iPhone that likes me.I would prefer SonyEricsson, Blackberry.
But...Nokia is my brand and nobody is going to convince me. I will continue to buy Nokia phones. It's as simple as that..
Apple NEVER made these tests live at the Press Con.. The tests were pre-recorded.. I smell some BS here.. Those expensive SIGNAL JAMMERS can be used by Apple too..
Seriously, is that Apple's response to this problem? To point the finger to others?
Really Steve, grow up!!!
he is trying to b!tch his way out of this lol
4 years into the mobile phone industry with only 4 handsets, and he still can't get the basic right rofl
unfortunately.... over 2 million 5heeps are keeping this REVOLUTIONARY DESIGN FAULT product alive.... the most expensive non bling up ipod lmao
love to smash an ipad on steve jobs face, hopefully i can knock some sense in him.

and what about the weight ?????
lord_RED, 21 Jul 2010I'd say that Apple is really Immature in regards to their pathetic response against the issue.... moreWho cares? Apple can afford to pay the best lawyers in the world. While Nokia would have to settle with a public defender or legal aid or something hahahahahaha.
Ricardo-Mexico, 21 Jul 2010Hey...People never grab a phone that way...like wrapping It..like embracing It..
That's not... moreIs that why less and less people are buying nokia phones, while more and more people are buying the iphone? Lol.
elsergio, 21 Jul 2010I wouldnt call a phone with antenna issues a "succesful device"Well that's you, and you are not the millions who bought the iphone and made it successful :)
Hey...People never grab a phone that way...like wrapping It..like embracing It..
That's not a good test...It doesn't convince me at all..
I have never had trouble with my Nokia phones...
I'd say that Apple is really Immature in regards to their pathetic response against the issue.
But also, taken the fact that they are also STILL IMMATURE in the mobile industry, they still don't know how to take it into themselves and just admit their mistakes and not just the problem and fix it.
All the other manufacturers had been on this industry years before Apple stepped into it. YES, it's a fact that they revolutionized the mobile industry, and NO, they can't take the fact that they are being over-taken by their competitors.
One thing that i'm looking at is the possibility that they are trying to expand the counter-lawsuit they had filed against Nokia and upping the situation to a new level...or maybe, since they are Immature on the industry, hence the attitude.

Anonymous, 21 Jul 2010Every phone suffers from attenuation if hold around the antenna with your whole hand. I think ... moreExactly, and that is due to signal de-tuning. Finally someone who gets it.
