Is it just me, or is gsmarena going overboard with these ridiculous articles? A cell phone website should not be biased against any handset and it's pretty obvious this website has something against Apple. It's so funny how people are so anti-Apple. The only thing that bothered me was the way Apple handled the whole problem, not the problem itself. Let me make it clear: iPhone 4 does NOT have worse reception than these other smart phones! I agree, there is an issue with the antennae, but even with the issue, the reception is better. And I've been using the iPhone 4 for 3 weeks now!
The funny thing is, if this problem happened to any other phone, there would hardly be a big deal. But because, it's Apple, it has to be discussed everywhere. Just look at all the other forums on this websites...there are phones with WAY more bugs than the iPhone (Nokia S60 phones especially...don't even mention the N97!) Even the E72, which I had a lot of respect for when it first came out, has a crazy amount of bugs and problems, way more than the iPhone.
The iPhone is not perfect people, but let's no go overboard with the hate. It is still one the best phones at the moment. Allround, when considering the multi-media, Internet experience, touch screen responsiveness, camera (superb!), App store, customer service, and the overall experience, the iPhone 4 is probably the best phone out there.
maybe dr.Cobb entering steve's dream and give the inception that he must destroying his own company
The real difference here is:
On an iPhone 4 you are SHORTING OUT the antenna by connecting two metal pieces via your hand.
That's not the same as COVERING an antenna that is isolated and stowed away inside the phone.
One is a major design flaw - the other is pure physics.
I think that Apple has to look at their own problems, not looking at problems of other phones. I use Nokias and Sonyericssons for years, also the N97 mini/ N86 and the Satio/ Vivaz, never I had a dropped call by holding it at a manner!
I think Apple needs another law suit. As a strong Nokia user I have never ever had a problem with signal strength no mater how I hold my phone. I love the n97 mini, it's the best Nokia I have ever owned (Ive used n81, n79, e71, e75 and both n97 and n97 mini). To all seeing this, DO NOT LET APPLE GIVE YOU DOUBTS! I have never had nor will I own an iPhone. Long live the competition!!!!!!
Anybody support GSMARENA to come out with a test? Pleease TIP them. Thanks !
So.... if you hold the 97 mini in a way that would make it pretty uncomfortable to use, the signal level goes down. It still looks to have maintained enough signal not to have dropped the call though.
Jobs is an ass-clown who seems hell bent on digging the deepest hole possible for himself and Apple.
I think all the other phone companies that Apple have slated with libellous statements should get together in a class action lawsuit and cane the arse off Apple!
What do you say - give me your comments.
The next is already here. They ve showcased Samsung as well in a similar video!
Its time Nokia and other companies file defamation suit against apple
"iPhonebarassment"... Apple should recall the faulty devices and as far as the iPhone free cover is concerned, its Steve's way of saying "I beg you all to please buy this peice of crap"...
maybe I'm wrong ! but what is it with apple ?
dont they suppose to solve their own problem ?
is this some kind of excuse for not fixing problems from now on ?
I have got a better suggestion, for all who owns Apple iPhone 4, lets use them for another 6 months to 10 months, and then commence taking Apple to Consumer Affairs for design faults...then you might get a free new iphone 5 then as compensation of your investment in a dodgy design iphone 4.....
Isn't this the point exactly? Now people are coming out of the woodwork and saying "Hey! I hold it with the deathgrip, and nothing happens to my Nokia/RIM/Android phone!"
However, when an iPhone user says he isn't affected by the antenna issue, everyone starts shouting 'Fanboy! Liar!" lol A bit hypocritical no?
Seriously Steve Jobs u should fire ur engineers and not point at others. Btw why doesnt he compare it to iphone 1,3g and 3gs.
Who cares about the videos of miserable Apple?
I'm not a Nokia user, but when i used this phone for about 5 days I liked it a lot! An i hadn't signal problems! :)
First of all, who would grab the phone like that while talking? Why wouldn't Apple admit that they did a mistake?
