Anonymous, 21 Jul 2010The point is basically to demonstrate that this is not a unique problem. It happens to phones,... moreThe customers who are not complaining don't even use the iPhone 4 for calls but for games and fart application, so they dont really notice the antenna issue. but as for business men who make 30-40 calls a day do notice it and it has a big effect on them.
As for blaming other companies, it's not there problem its the customer's problem, and i'm sure that Nokia has worked hard enough to give their customers the best mobile technology out there, as well as BB and HTC. as for Apply they are too scared and up themselves to admit that their design is faulty.
Who In Their Senses Will Make A Call Holding The Phone Tight Enough to Drop The Signals ?? in the iphone case you just have to touch that part ...they should concentrate on fixing their phone's fault instead of showing that other phones does the same.. it will help them more
Yes, the signal comes down, but i have never lost a call or a data connection.
Anonymous, 21 Jul 2010you never used a nokia phoneOf course he hasn't lol cause if he has he would know what NOKIA phones are...
Nokia are the best in quality, in services, and in O/S.
Just tried this on my Motorola V3, a phone which is 6 years old. It dropped only one line, and that is only when I almost broke the thing. D:
Its a shame that apple has started blaming others, they should have tried to make their i.crap better by solving the problem not by starting the clash !
I think Apple should do it in front of a Judge. Who knows what kind of handset they are using and if the signal coverage is really good. Any proofs to show that there is no tempering???
The point is basically to demonstrate that this is not a unique problem. It happens to phones, to varying degrees. What we don't get is why suddenly with the iPhone 4 its like this brand new problem.
By highlighting this, it shows that:
1. Hey, turns out its not an Apple thing, its a physics thing, which was pointed out.
2. Other phone manufacturers, who may have been enjoying the bashing, are now put on check. Notice that the media has now started to backtrack on the antenna issue ever since the press conference.
Suddenly "PR Experts" are saying Antennagate won't hurt Apple's image. Didn't "PR Experts" only last week say Apple was certain to recall iPhones to the tune of 1.5 billion? Do they think people are so stupid and would forget so easily?
Also, survey conducted found that yes, iPhone users noticed the antenna issue, yet a majority have no plans to return their iPhones. What? Are they mad? Answer is, for those who are not returning the phone, yes, they can reproduce the problem probably, but it does not affect them in their daily use.
I have no problem with my symbian phone a.k.a nokia phone 5230. It is cheap smartphone but works well. No call reception issue. I have used motorola and nokia and their 'oldies' phone still work well. Why does Apple as 'modern' phone have this signal issue? Do you do your research well? Do you do engineering well? Do you understand how to make a phone can call? If you don't, please don't find any mistakes from other phone to cover your defect. Learn from them. Poor Apple
So far, samsung, HTC, NOKIA, BB is involved... remaning big phone company like SE and motorola still not yet in the testing... will there be the next victim ?
Anonymous, 21 Jul 2010Every Nokia i have owned has been faulty, some needing repair 4 or 5 times or replaced.Nokia br... moreYou just don't know how to use Nokia Phone id1ot.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fVLubA6AMmo here is a proof that apple is wrong. go fix their 2 year worth of work sh1tty phone.
It seems Nokia handset did showing reduce of bars when hold tight in grip. But we're loosing the main issue here : it's iPhone dropping calls in "unacceptable rate" when it holds at certain pose.
In the Nokia case, you can try it your self if you have a Nokia (N97) hold it tight, it shows reducing bars, but try make a phone call. Examine the bar and call quality compare the troubled-iphone :)
Sorry no offense.
Anonymous, 21 Jul 2010this is blasphemy! nokia fanboys attack the fruit king!!! yeah lets boicot all fruit logo company product
Just tried holding my all Nokia phones in same way, wonder no signal drop!! I have tested them ( Nokia 7210 supernova, 6300, X6-16gb) all on Tata Docomo network, which has crapiest signal quality in my town, but still only one bar gone on X6 with tightest grip I can do..
I wish Nokia to sue Steve Jobs.!!
bad attitute at all, hey, why not going to focus on the problem, but focus on other people stuff, no point!
This is most poisonous apple I see.
Every Nokia i have owned has been faulty, some needing repair 4 or 5 times or replaced.Nokia bring out so many phones that as soon as u buy it its an old model. So u Apple haters, fact is Nokia drops signal from 2 fingers on the bottom or the phone, wrap your palm around it should be the same result. Apple are great phones, its just that unhappy people are the most vocal.Nokia is rubbish,i have spent hours and hours in the Nokia care centre(Morley Perth)waiting for my faulty phone.
One doesn't drop calls with full 2 bars on a nokia, that's for sure ;)
everyone knows that all phones signals a disturbed when you touch it in certain places.. but the difference between iphone 4 and other phones is that with other phones this is not enough to drop the call...2 bars should still be enough to carry on a phone call... this is just apple trying not to take responsibility for its actions...honestly, i never thought of myself as an apple hater before, but this whole event is really making me sick of the company...
