It looks ugly.
The samsung galaxy's screen still looks brighter ;)
Tim, 22 Jul 2010alright.. so no multitouch, no flash for camera, 480x800 pixels is quite outdated, 512mb space... more512 mb space is not enough for your apps?? What are you on about? You do know that the 512 mb is the RAM, and not the internal memory right?
@Mike.. the esato.com site seems to be bit not that polished. It's hard to navigate. GSMArena's site is much better..
i think they call that an ugly HTC desire :P
no one really plugs their phones into anything...
no one really listens on loudspeaker...
and multimedia buttons? DOH!
720 on its way ;)
if you use a website called www.esato.com you can do an easy comparison ove any phone you like...but i must admit...this phone lookis really good!
adrian vinersan, 23 Jul 2010i don't see any reson to go beyond 480x800 on anything at3-3.5 inches as it already is a pixel... moreMay be they watch on screen at point blank? Or may be they watched too much Smallville/Superman.
The video isn't very good at all. Considering Google's cavalier attitude towards privacy -- and outright spying in the U.S. -- I don't think I'll ever want an Android phone.
Tim, 22 Jul 2010alright.. so no multitouch, no flash for camera, 480x800 pixels is quite outdated, 512mb space... moreit has multi-touch
i don't see any reson to go beyond 480x800 on anything at3-3.5 inches as it already is a pixel density close to photo quality... and i don't kepp my phone that close for inspection ..)
i would put more if there was hardware that wouldn't care if you throw more resolution at it (but that whould require a preaty powerful phone )
by the way, most computers today go between 1280x720 and at high end models 1920x1080 (1200 for 24inch desktop display's)(laptops, projectors, large screen lcd's)
but consider that that's at something you actually look for hours and are waaaaay bigger (although you are farther away )
i can't believe that people can still see the pixels at this pixel density ...
they just need to improve the screen's contrast and sunlight eligibility
ps: just watched the video from the phone = crap, not even vga quality there ... (as you can see resolution is not everything // )
Tim, 22 Jul 2010alright.. so no multitouch, no flash for camera, 480x800 pixels is quite outdated, 512mb space... moreAre you kidding me?
320x240 outdated.. yes... but not this one!, come on!
Tim, 22 Jul 2010alright.. so no multitouch, no flash for camera, 480x800 pixels is quite outdated, 512mb space... more480 x 800 outdated? Are you living in the future? There are only a handful of phone with that res. Id say 10 or so, maybe even not that much. Maybe the Iphone 4 spoiled you or gingerbread (1024 x 768)
alright.. so no multitouch, no flash for camera, 480x800 pixels is quite outdated, 512mb space..not sure its enough for my apps. its a no go for me i guess.
Another android!!
Only advantage over Galaxy S is a HDMI output. Thats about it...
Can't wait to read the review...I have been waiting on this phone...
I wonder if the retail unit will support flash? I only wish the camera module was at least 8MP but I am loving this so far.
Let's see what the review unfolds...positive results I hope. :D
WTF another piece of garbage that cannot be bothered to put a flash on the camera. Waste of materials, water of money waste of time.
i like this more than galaxy S cause this looks well build, not cheap plastic.Has good specs so i really don'æt get it why some of you say is ugly, looks way way better than other android phones,i would buy this if there was no nexus one :))
Shouldn't we compare this phone to Desire instead of Galaxy S.
I can't see what makes is so special looking at the specs.
and hey, this is Sofia on the clip. I think colors are quite strong on the sample and makes this place look almost beautiful :)
[deleted post]please stop trolling. This is about the Acer Stream. Wy are you going off on one about the iPhone4? We are all well aware of it's flaws now. We all think it's funny (apart from Apple fans) but let's leave this thread for what it is about.
