In my country, Nokia phones are famous because of their innovation.
Hope they do the same this time.
Anonymous, 18 May 2016Let's just say:
- only company that made so much different, beautiful smartphone designs
- f... moreUnfortunately, that all occur in last generation. People who remember/know or even care are now much older, in their late 30s, 40s or 50s.
This generation grew up with Samsung etc. It'll take more than legacy to buy them over. I've used a few Nokias myself, but the fact is that they are just coming into a saturated market at this point in time where there's so many other Android OEMs, and they are just "one other Android" OEM. It would have been alot more different had the Flop not make Nokia go full kamikaze with only Windows many years ago where the market is less saturated.
My prediction: Nokia will most probably only get as much market share as they had with their previous Nokia Windows phone shares, where only the Nokia-diehards who put money where their mouth is will buy their first few new-generation products (similar to Nokia-diehards who bought their Nokia Windows phone just because "Nokia").
It would take an extremely remarkable/innovative product from Nokia to make the whole market turn their heads to them and to attract the younger generation that grew up with the Samsung etc. era; Or Samsung to make a more catastrophic business decision/decline than Nokia did with their "Windows only" decision.

Sawsan, 19 May 2016Hopefully the commenters are not suffering from the whooping cough.I understand your scepticism. You might be one of those who did not like nokia even when it was at peak, and you have every right to have that view. But just the sheer amount of comments in this article should tell you something - that Nokia meant quality phones in the past and it has created a positive impression on millions of people in the world. This cannot be said about any other company, there is no a single company that can rival the respect Nokia generates even today.
Learned One, 19 May 2016I think you're exaggerating a bit.well, saying Samsung nor Apple are the best brands in the industry are more exaggerated than his statement
