S7 - 80 hours
S7 Edge - 98 hours
X is not even in the same ball park as S7.
Anonymous, 18 May 2016What a joke. So much for that Qnovo crap Sony fan boys boast about. As I predicted batt... moreThe real joke is you Samsung fanboy. If you actually read the whole article then you wouldn't comment like this. Posting crap comment again and again. Reported for Bashing the same brand again and again.
Yet, It has pretty much the same battery life of S7 ( only lose to video test, most likely due to the nature of the video, must have plenty dark scene).
Most importantly it has even better battery than most flagship phone despite having a chip that was build on 28nm. Sony's battery optimization prowess is really apparent here.
Not only Xperia X, I expect Xperia XA Ultra also bad battery result because of low mAh also. 2700mAh compared with C5 Ultra 2930mAh
This can't even match its predecessors and even the QHD S7 and you guys are saying that sony has done a good job?
Xperia X: 2620Mah battery and 28nm chipset
Xperia X Perfomance: 2700Mah battery and 14nm chipset
Endurance rating for the Xperia X Perfomance is better than Xperia X
Oh no! So with the result, Xperia X is not my cup of tea. Z3C still rocks
Grey1213, 18 May 2016X performance has only 2700 as well. So that one would probably get around 70 hours at best. F... moreYep, them fanboys were dreaming.
I told them time and time again battery will be crap due to low mah.
They keep coming back with Qnovo crap, 1080p, SD820 and optimization.
There's no substitute for mah.
Just like car engines, there is no replacement for displacement.
Bigger is better.
X performance has only 2700 as well. So that one would probably get around 70 hours at best. Fanboys thought it would get 80-90, some even thought it would do better than the s7 edge that got 96.
The only smartphone that got battery right was Samsung, and some Chinese brands with 1080p screens. Sadly Sony couldn't get it right even with 1080p.

This is much worse than Z2 and Z3.
This is hardly any better than the small iPhone 6.
20%-25% worse battery than Z2.
Yet, gsmarena says Sony did a good and respectable job?
For a 2620mAh u would have expected worse but these results aren't bad indeed!

It even improved on the respectable Z5 battery life"
