RishiGuru, 19 May 2016Vivo/ Oppo/ Gionee are all the same, sub per specs at a high price. But they have very strong ... moreI hope you do know that tiers in India are based on population not development. Some tier 2 cities like Chandigarh and Gurgaon have much higher per capita income than Bangalore and Delhi. Tier 2 cities are basically less populated and polluted yet more developed cities obviously people there are richer.
india wherever -buy wisely-buy wellknown brands with some sort of aftersales sevice -coz if aftersales service under warranty is needed ..then As services are ALWAYS short even in usa western europe ..almost nonexistent in 3rd world like india .. we suggest -for large screens - samsung galaxynote 4 now reduced price at $500 or so world wide 5.7" -now receiving ANDROID M 601 ..handsets last x?2yrs .. max 3yrs .. price drops 40% in 2nd year ..good camera features essential on a smartphone .. RAM at least 3GB ..internal memory at least 32GB .. expandable ext. microsd card memory .. repplaceable battery ..
at least 16mpx camera .. low besel .. gionee in india and worldwide should drop prices please ..$400 in india ==monthly gross salary of proper MD doctor .. this comment inn constructive spirit .. good luck gionee good luck ARVIND VOHRA CEO GIONEE INDIA .

JC, 19 May 2016Why can't it come to the U.S. All of these phablets with big batteries are always in other co... morebecause the us is the 'LAND OF FAKE' hahahahhahahaha
One more phone which gets dumped in india because of lack in sale.

Anonymous, 19 May 2016but who will buy this for 26000rs in tier 2 citiesMy friend a lot of money resides in Tier 2 cities, there are riches among them.
JC, 19 May 2016Why can't it come to the U.S. All of these phablets with big batteries are always in other co... moreGionee phones are branded as Blu in USA. There already are Blu Studio Energy and Studio Energy 2, this most probably is gonna be some kind of "Energy" model too.
Why can't it come to the U.S.
All of these phablets with big batteries are always in other countries.
Price could be justified if there was SD820 or 652

Gionee can swagger that 5,020mAh battery around India but if I do not see a review of Marathon M5 Plus garnering 150+ or even 200+ hours of endurance rating in GSMA, they are just puffing nothing but air
again a cheaper chinese crap with battra ( big battery like power a house :p )
Please make this device available in West Africa. We are tired of hearing news about when Gionee will release it.
Umbilical Noose, 19 May 2016A powerhouse with Mediatek 6753. What a joke.Vivo/ Oppo/ Gionee are all the same, sub per specs at a high price. But they have very strong marketing departments and pour millions of dollars each year to gain respect among customers. These companies prefer offline sales as online buyers are more knowledgeable and will never buy their phones. In India they target Tier 2 cities with less internet penetration and breed very well polished sales reps to brain wash any regular Joe who wants to buy a phone. Believe me as I have encountered their sales reps they are quit good at convincing customers to buy their products.
Anonymous, 19 May 2016Hahahaa. If this is successful, then its proof that android users will buy any specs, so long ... moreIf Apple releases a turd with an Apple logo on it, people will buy it. Your point?
Such a shame... Finally a proper-sized display but it's let down by sub-par specs otherwise.
