sony makes good quality phones but their marketing is terrible and pricing of product is even terrible than that
Good phone. Bad pricing. Sony should lower their price to be more competitive. That is the reason why they are losing in the phone business. When will Sony learn.
I rated NO for its price and battery.
Although "premium", it is still a mid-tier phone with mid-tier specs.
The price should follow. Not to mention that the phone's power will be significantly reduced in just less than 8 hours of full usage.
The design is hot but the price is extremely hot. So this is the over-hot product so i rated NO. I'm not going to agree to any phone maker which delivers amazing outer but crappy inside at this price point. Both must be balance. Sorry sony you lose 1 vote. At least at this price you could give us waterproof or something acceptable and trending nowadays like usb type C and slightly bigger battery. You can do better than this sony. And apple ain't your parent, just move on within your track. You're outta track right now. Don't you realized it?
Look at the location of the areas interested in the Xperia x on the map. The UK is one of the main potential consumers. Not giving the UK the X performance would be madness! All the other phones will be old tech before they even come out.
Anonymous, 22 May 2016The display look just as good without the amoled display. Again, Sony is all about quality.Beside quality control
[deleted post]What's the point, there's even no need to vote, just read comments :)
I m sony fan but this time not what x series. 😠😠😠😠
I think the end result will be NOT. there are many readers who are not satisfied with Sony pricing and will always vote with (NOT) for any sony smartphone what so ever. this will happen even if they did not use a single sony smart phone.
Also worth mention that this """premium body""" is not worth that additional 300euro. Other companies, especially Chinese(Xiaomi, huawei etc) and even Samsung or LG can give you that polished finish and metal body for WAY less money. Material and finishing doesn't cost that much, it's only that label "Sony xperia" that cost that money.
It's pure greed to ask for it that much.
It's like taking ford focus and painting it in red and sell it as Ferrari.
That basically explain current trend of OEMs of selling mid-range phones with flagship price because of materials used in it.
And as a Sony/Sony Ericsson user for good 15years I can say that I hope Sony fail this year and hit the ground hard.
Because instead of preparing strategy for fighting Chinese phones that give good hardware for smaller price... They put cheaper/last year hardware in fancy box and they think that people gonna buy it because it have Sony xperia name on it...
[deleted post]They only would do that so Samsung phone could win, but because this is a Sony phone they don't care about it.
I'm a Sony fan but I've never been interested in mid-range devices. I'm waiting for the X Performance.
No, it's not just because of the price (although i completely agree, it's over inflated).
The thing is that Sony smartphones do not change, its interface, and appearance are intact for years. First of all, the same enormous bezels on the top and the bottom...
Sony smartphones are not sexy.
