Mi drone will be exciting.
I am taking this moment to express my view of what the ideal hobby drone (not a toy drone) should be offering. The Drone era has made many beginners become semi pros and they are dissatisfied with what the market has to offer.
Size: wing tip to wing tip, near 400mm.
Affordable powerful batteries.
Controler capable to reach drone over 1.3 Km
Gps, a must and capable to maintain steady altitude (neutral attitude in pilots, language)
Brushless motors and long lasting.
Removable blade protection and landing gears (legs)
Super camera with on board micro sd card (to record what camera sees) larger than 4 Gb and 5.8 Ghz frequency, not to obstruct with drone and controler which operates at 2.4 Ghz. The sd card would have full video regardless if phone or monitor receives bad and jaggy signal.
Manufacturers should consider 3 leafs blades instead of 2.
Obstacle recognition with sonar sensors, which are inexpensive.
Finally technology is catching up for the oppressed to watch the police. If we can catch more police corruption with our own eyes in the sky than they could all get paid vacation suspensions at the same time.
Price is a pure GSMA speculation. You were wrong about Mi5 prices before announcement and you're most likely wrong about this one too. Xiaomi knows they won't be selling a lot with this price. I've heard it'll be around 400 euro.
ThinkerAB, 20 May 2016Very creative. iHealth and now drone. Thumbs up for xiaomiIts good to know that when apple copy this idea as well, it will be called "i" drone, and when
they claim it as innovation, we'll all be left speechless, because, we actually, have, been used to them "droneing" on at us , through the paid media, in every story and thread where their name doesn't belong, for years. lol. See even I have ended up doing it here. Drooooooone.
