If you put your brightness to the highest level, you will be able to see your screen.

Just updated the samsung s7 edge and now I can't even use my phone. Half the screen jumps and is green and white! Is there away to shut the phone off as I can not do it the normal way.
I have Samsung 7 and since the current update, a few of my apps have disappeared or not working properly, I have constant ads popping up, I have an extra screen that has ads and when I receive a call, I have to unlock it before I can see who is calling me and usually the person is sent to VM. I have gone into my settings to correct this and it will not stop the ads and other issues I am having. I just purchased the phone and have had a lot of problems upon inception.

To solve this just shut down your phone, then go to recovery menu by pressing volume up + power button, and wipe cache. Hope this will solve your problems as mine.
Latest update has my keyboard shutting down constantly & videos keep shutting down all with no prompting. WTF. How do I uninstall update. Phone is 6months old & completly screwed up. 4min video I have to hit play button at least 5times to see whole video. Same to type this I've had to bring up the keyboard 9 times
My phone couldn't even handle the update, it's stuck in some no-man's land and unable to complete installation or boot up. Absolutely useless now.

I have same charging issues as everyone else seems to have but I also have random stuff happening - no more fingerprint recognition, apps missing, phone restarted a couple of time with no input from me, etc. Everything was working fine until the latest upgrade, update and/or fixes. Not sure what to call it other than beta since I feel s7 and s7 edge users are now part of samsung QC.
Ever since the update (IDK if its the same one everyone is saying but it was recent) my fast charge no longer works when plugged in. 2-4 hours charge time.
It will work (in a way) on my wireless pad charger but it still takes over 1hr 45min to charge at 50%.....
I want to upgrade to the note 8 but idk if I really want to stay with Samsung Phones now.
I love Android Phones..... I really "dislike" IPhones but if it has a better battery and a phone that wont heat up and blow up, I may be down for it...
After the update my phone overheats and I'm unable to shut it down. When I do get it turn off I have problems getting it back on. I have pop up adds constantly. I have prided myself on being loyal to Samsung and Android phones. Everything else I use is Apple. After this experience I think I'm going to change to an Apple phone.
I updated my S6 on 21/Dec/17 as the phone said it needed an update. Prior to that all was well. Now WiFi does not work reliably. The battery drains fast and the phone seems to constantly be trying to connect to my home WiFi system but reporting Authentication Errors. No other device on my home WiFi network has any problems connecting and although I have re authenticate a number of times taking great care over the credentials the phone will not reliably connect. Oddly it has connected for short periods and I have had emails delivered every now and then but effectively this recent update has messed up my phone. Samsung, please fix the problem as soon as possible. It is real.
Since the update of the s7 my pgine overheats and drains the battery in less then an hour!!!! I guess these people want you to buy a new phone is all a business... shame on you!!!!! Fix this dam bug... im never buyin a samsung again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I noticed that my phone wasn't holding a charge as well was before after I installed an update a few weeks ago after putting it off. Then I updated my phone again on 12/17/17 and this morning my phone went from 100% to 34% in 2 hours, even though my apps list shows the one I had open was uses less than 1% of battery power per hour.
I hope they get this fixed soon because I know it's not my battery that's the problem, it's their update.
my samsung edge 7 has been messing up. the fast charge is on btw in the settings. not it took me 2 hours to charge it till 20%

my s7 edge suddenly stopped fast charging just yesterday. Some green screen with downloading suddenly appeared... quite weird... to get rid of it, I had to restart the phone. to be honest, i'm fed up with Samsung.. the reason I bought my phone was screen and fast charging, but both failed to last long. the screen was burned, having light lines, and now it's fast charging. SHAME!!! Samsung! it's my last samsung product. no decent after sale support, stupid advice of customer services.
Too all of us s7 users having issues with the update! I let my phones battery totally die, plugged it in and let it charge till about 80%. Started it back up and so far it seems to be working fine. Try it and let me know your results!😁
