ever since this update, my phone has been loading extremely slow. connected to wifi or 4g lte takes minutes for anything to load. super annoying. everything was perfectly fine before the update
So far I cannot complain about the battery being exhausting faster than normal. What I can complain about is the fact that the internet (whether it is by LTE/4G or WiFi) keeps on breaking up. In any App you wait and wait. 2 days ago everything was fine, after the update I have this problem.
I do have a VPN installed in it and it's not it. The VPN was working properly all the time before.
Does anyone else is reporting this?
I recieved the update yesterday almost 1.3 gb. It really sucks. Very poor battery life. Cell standby and android system is killing the battery more than screen. I am reverting back to official 7.0 Firmware which was very better in terms on battery.

AnonD-759883, 14 May 2018Anybody had charging issues since the update? Keep getting the moisture error with every singl... moreI just updated mines last week and now it won't charge past 89%. I believe they purposely send out malfunctioning updates to older phones so that we will buy a new one. I'm done updating anything else.

I refuse to reset my handset after the recent update over the May bank holiday, which has KILLED my Samsung S7. (Yes, my handset is still within its warranty...)
Does anyone have an alternative fix, which will not make me lose any videos or pictures presently stored on my phones memory?
I have already wiped the cache update and tried to reboot which failed but I refuse to reset the factory setting. Please help!
AnonD-759883, 14 May 2018Anybody had charging issues since the update? Keep getting the moisture error with every singl... moreI had the same issue, turned pone on and off and then it started charging again. Once charged it said there was no sim card. Had to restart again
Anybody had charging issues since the update? Keep getting the moisture error with every single charging cable I can get my hands on and my phone hasn't even seen a single drop of water in its life!
Driving me crazy, should I stop being so tight and pay for a new charge port? Iv done the whole deleting storage in USB setting more times than I care to mention,iv cleaned the port on both charger and phone but not making any headway..now and again I can get it to work but I know pretty soon it may just stop altogether!
Had the same issue, update flashed up and I usually download overnight but as I wasn't doing anything I thought I'd get it over and done. This was about 6pm come 7pm my phone was still stuck on the boot (Lock) screen flashing and was not too hot to handle. I had to put my phone on a heat proof mat in front of a fan as I thought it genuinely was going to blow. It then died, I waited for it to cool and charged it to 100% and tried again, same thing got stuck and started to get hot so I forced a shut down as I didn't want it getting so hot again. I did a quick search online for various methods and I tried starting in Safe Mode and Developer mode and clearing caches. All of which failed, I then tried to factory reset it myself (knowing it was my last option) and again it failed. I contacted my operator (Tesco) who said to contact Samsung Support, who told me I had to go to a support centre (nearest is 30miles away) I drove the next day to the support centre who informed me that the phone would not recognise on their system and that the software update and crash has somehow managed to corrupt the hardware or the heat of the phone had caused further issues. They then proceeded to tell me that because I had a crack in the top corner of the screen (minimal and doesn't bother me) that they cannot attempt to fix my phone for free and that it would cost upwards of £450 to diagnose and try to repair although there was no confirmation it could be fixed. I said this was not acceptable as it wasn't my fault my phone has done this following an update they 'strong recommend' you do. They said to contact Samsung support again and state what had happened. I did and the manager on the phone said because I have a crack in the screen my warranty is void and I would have to pay for all repairs myself, even though it wasn't anything I did to ruin my phone! They did however offer me the A8 for £300 as it was cheaper than the 'repair', cheek of them!!!
I was now stuck without a phone for all the bank holiday weekend, and due to nobody taking any responsibility I had to fork out for a new phone and went with the Huawei P20 as well as all the fuel travelling a total of 60miles to be told nothing. Samsung will never get my custom again.
gaily, 08 May 2018i cant even get mine to give me an option to reset to factory settings, it will not move from ... moreIt will trust me, You have to plug your phone in power button and volume down will switch it off then unplug mains charger.Follow the instructions from the Android tech guys they have a web site. It took a few times to get the timing right but don't give up...
I updated to Oreo my S7 Edge and all ok except the camera setting "PRO" my loved camera setting!!!! When I set Pro the cama application crashed.
Are there any Fix ?
During the last update of my Samsung A7 the messaging app changed. No longer are quick responses available to enter in messages. I hate that
Hi all that are experiencing the Samsung update problems.
I called Samsung customer service and they have resolved the issue!! they got me to do a factory restore. So wiped out all data but because I had backed everything up on the cloud it restored all my apps, call/msg data etc. so just call them and they will talk you through it. Good luck !
GuitarMan, 09 May 2018I have the same "boot loop" problem with my Galaxy S7 Edge after a Samsung (Oreo?) software up... moreI phone updates have also messed up users phones. My boyfriend has an iPhone and won't do updates because his phone got messed up after an update
Looks like I'm not the only one experiencing this Samsung update issue. I am on EE and I don't think it matters what network you are on. this update is totally screwing up the handsets. Same prob - phone is stuck on Samsung logo and is getting extremely hot as well. what I mistake I made to update!!! Samsung need to take responsibility for this!
