I knew Apple did it but never thought Samsung would. Looks like in the new update they bugged the phone to the point it is obsolete and forces you to buy a new one. Apple has been doing this for years and that's why I changed to Samsung and left Apple in the dust. Now with Christmas around the corner Samsung has appeared to jump on the Bug Train forcing users to go out and spend money. Great for business bad for customer satisfaction.

Hi i just did the recent update for my S7 edge and its not moving past the samsung screen it flashes but nothing happening. Ive tried restarting it and it keeps going back to the samsung screen.

Including wiping memory, but apparently it doesn't get rid of updates. Overnight an awesome phone is useless

I am still trying to boot my phone and not successful. How can I turn it back on without factory reset and losing my data. This is crazy. It just died on me 2 weeks ago and it is doing it again. I am getting crazy trying to keep up with the phone. It is only 1 year old and wonder how could it have so much problem

No one is checking warranty if you sens through end user( not using your network provider repair) or if in other part - try it. I work at Samsung no one bothers to check warranty as it takes time and its quantity over quality. (Targets etc.)

Hi everyone.. right my s7 edge has done the same thing as it appears a lot of yours have after the update shuts down unresponsive is unable to charge or turn on etc... I have a temporary cure which may help if you need to use email or social media you can still use these. Firstly if the phone is unresponsive you need to wait until the phone is completely dead or in my case disconnect the battery as I couldn't wait. After this put your phone on charge( If dead) you will get a response the charging symbol does come up. Then hold the power button and down volume button once you see the Samsung logo let go of the power button and continue to press the down volume key til the phone starts in safe mode. I have factory reset my phone and it makes no difference this is an update fault that clearly has not yet been rectified. In safe mode you lose all third party applications you can still call text and use normal apps including the internet a way round not being able to use 3rd party apps is as I am currently doing and that's using Facebook and email and everything else through the mobile website versions until the fault is rectified by Samsung then I will update again to try resolve it but for now this is me writing in safe mode on mine. If you try get out of this mode the problem DOES 're occur but you can get it back to this mode. This is not convenient but as for now it saves me forking out for a new phone this close to Xmas as I hope it will you too. I hope this is helpful 👍

S6 edge...updated to new software yesterday...seemed ok...30 mins later my phone was dead and will not come back on and will not charge. I've had to buy a new phone!!!!! Absolutely raging but no idea who to take it up with as the phone was 2 years old so no waranty.
