Same problem....text say fail, but they are going through..such a pain..not happy..hope they fix this ASAP!!!
I also have the issue with sending txt messages,since the update to NOUGAT I get message send failed. VERY frustrating. Please fix soon or I'm switching service.
I went into settings and Mobile network and switched it from Global which is what it was set to and set it to LTE/CDMA and the issue went away.

I am sure they will fix it once they realize it broke every ones phone if they don't fix it i might just have to switch to apple and i hate apple
I have an s6 and did update a few weeks ago and am experiencing the same issues as all of you....messages saying failed but really sending, not getting a strong connection and basically everything everyone else has going on. I'm just wondering if antobe knows if there is going to be an update to fix all these issues? I love my samsung phone and android operating systems but this is crazy. And its the only time I have ever had an issue with an upgrade. Thanks for input on a bug fix.

Messaging is all screwed up after this recent update! Says the message failed but it actually went through. So what am I supposed to do To fix it???
I found a temporary fix until they fix the problem. Go into your settings and then connections. Click Mobil networks then network mode. Turn yiur LTE off and only use cdma. The problem is with the LTE
Since the July update my phones mobile network connectivity has been awful to not there. I called Verizon and they said I have to get a new phone, not covered - luckily I can afford it. However my Edge 7 is an upgrade to my daughters J7 so I figured I'd try to convert to T-Mobile. After using Odin and loading the Samsung SM-G935T_G935TUVU4BQB1 Firmware it came up 4G - then did a bunch of updates and is no longer 4G. At one point along the nougit path I had to Reset the phone (April?) and it was fine after that until this last update. I called Samsung today and they are no help. I'm ready to go Walmart and monthly. Not worth buying $850 phones that the manufacturer breaks with bad code. Carriers and manufacturer conspiracy? If anyone finds a real fix please post it. Samsung said bring it to a Samsung Experience store and they will reload/fix - they will likely use the same Odin type software and load the same Firmware I already have - but I am curious.
