The phone heats up (spins the CPU) every 5 to 30 minutes (usually around 10 min) and then re-boots. I have traced the problem to the 4G network - if we turn off 4G, the phone is fine, and we can use it normally on WiFi. We are all Verizon customers, and I suspect this is something that changed on the Verizon network. NO, we have not had any recent update to our phones!! No update since November - this bug was triggered by the DATE of Jan 5th 2017.
Well I have updated the device on the 4th of Jan 2017. All he'll broke loose! Twitter crashes when you click on a link anywhere in the App. I thought it's a problem with Twitter but I was wrong. Google play, Wikipedia, Flip board, pretty much any app will crash if you open a link. I bought my first Samsung in 2011, never bought another brand but Samsung. My last experiences with Samsung are not pleasant. Note 7 recalled twice, software update issues, lack of accessories. It's like Samsung is forcing its customers to go away, the same way Nokia shot itself in the foot by 2009!!
Go to samsung recovery....by pressing volume down and home button just after power.
and clear dalvik cache.
your problem would be resolve.
With respect, what is the purpose of the posting option on this website.
I never see any replies or solutions.
How to contact Samsung directly.?
When I go to their Sales/Service store the staff plead ignorance.
My Samsung Galaxy S7 also is overheating & the battery is draining really fast since I installed the last update on 4/1/2017. What is going on Samsung it's as though the last update was like a virus. I hope I find an answer to fix this soon.
I just had to really laugh whole heartedly at this retort.
Unfortunately recently acquired S7edge but will be staying clear of these strangely named "updates" . Oh and trying to find a decent screen protection for this phone? None existent apparently as Samsung haven't actually made one!I wanted HTC10 but Vodafone don't entertain them!

My phone set to auto-update over midnight. The following day, I had severe Internet lagging. Had contact my service providers to reset my line connection. But nothing changed. On top of this. When I use the goggle map, the GPS radar direction was off-tuned. In end, I board the wrong bus to my destination.
I do hope all these issues will be rectify asap as it affect my daily work performance.
Updated 4/01/17 and now unable to use mobile without wifi.. hot Vo LTE on screen constantly and will not go.. anybody else had issues and know how to resolve the problem.

I updated my s7 and now adaptive fast charging is not working. Charging takes 6 hours! I did everything to resolve the problem. Tried 3 different original fast chargers by samsung, swapped cords (2 of which are samsung original), bought a new cord, switched wall plugs, cleaned the area where the plug is inserted, did battery dump, cleaned cache, charged with the screen off, charged with the phone off.. all to no avail. After what happened to my note 4 (updated, crashed, burned and was told by samsung that it needed a new motherboard-wtf). im never going to but another samsung phone again.
Since I updated my Samsung S7 Edge software on 01/JAN/2017 to Update Version G9350ZHU2APL1/ the Notifications from all apps has stopped working.
I have rebooted my mobile, reset all the apps notifications but without any success.
My mobile also says that the latest updates have been installed.
Is there any way to contact Samsung.?
Any advice would be appreciated.
After updating on 1/1/2017, my phone is overheating and drains battery very fast. Tried safemode still the same. Disabled gear vr(which i'm not using at all) still the same. Only during ultra power saving mode the issue is not existing. Don't know what to do anymore cause i dont have oculus app to delete. It only occured after the last update.
My Samsung S7 Edge keeps shutting off and attempting restart, however it will not completely turn on unless i plug it in. It is also draining my battery leaving me to charge it multiple times a day. How do I fix this?
