So I am reading a lot of issues with the Galaxy S7 updates. I have a lot of the same issues, apps not working, wrong date/time, phone gets hot, battery life not as good, loss my email, texting issues. Is Samsung addressing the issue? Has anyone heard from them?
I have the same problem. I had an Edge 7, worked fine. Update happened, boot re-boot problem. I didn't realise at the time it was the update, I picked up my Note 4 (worst battery ever) and started using that fine....update....BAM.... boot/re-boot. Cleared to factory settings, worked fine for a day.....BAM....boot/re-boot. SAMSUNG has really stuffed me in the aioli. My Edge 7 has a crack at the bottom (BECAUSE IT'S MADE OF GLASS AND 2 YEARS IN A POCKET WITH KEYS WILL DO THAT) so therefore no warrant, and the Note is nearly 4 years old. So it's back to tin cans and string for a while. Thanks SAMSUNG, I'm off to GOOGLE.
Anonymous, 16 Aug 2018Same. Even after a battery change, still happens. My Phone is stuck constantly rebooting, I tried everything (Even Factory resetting my phone) and nothing worked. Seems like I'm cucked lmao.
When the install software dialog pops up, instead of choosing postpone you can pull down your notifications and select a notification to open it up and that clears the update dialog to continue using your phone (since there's a limited number of postpones available).
testing. Just want to see if this will go through without signing up. I am completely tired of having to setup with every site.
My S7 is completely bricked.
I've had x2 updates in the last week (or so). The most recent update came through last night, and I accepted it this morning. The update appeared to go smoothly. However, less than 1 hour later, my phone would not respond. I've tried soft / hard resets (vol up + power / vol down + home + power) with no luck. My battery level was around 70%+. No charger is acknowledged, either. I plan on taking this to a Car Phone Warehouse (UK shop) today, to confirm the issue. I am sure this is not a battery / charge related issue, as my phone was fully charged just prior to accepting the update. Has anyone else had a similar issue?
After the software update, most of my games disappear and could only be accessed throught the game launcher. No app icon on home page or menu

So maybe someone can explain this to me. I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. Long story short, 2 updates were pushed through by Samsung. My phone, that worked perfectly before, is now malfunctioning. The screen looks like a strobe light. I call Samsung who says that I need to send it in to see IF IT CAN BE REPAIRED. This will take up to 5-7 business days which means that I will be without a phone for a week or so. Samsung is not willing to replace the phone at this point because the phone is out of warranty. Out of warranty? Samsung damaged the phone with THEIR update. Us. Cellular said they are experiencing a large volume of calls with the same issue. I asked what would happen if the phone is not repairable? DUE TO THE PHONE NOT BEING UNDER WARRANTY, THEY WILL LIKELY SEND THE PHONE BACK AND NOT REPLACE IT. This is NOT a warranty issue, the phone was damaged by SAMSUNG and they say they are not willing to replace my phone that THEY DAMAGED. It's funny that my carrier has said that they are experiencing MANY CALLS WITH THE SAME ISSUE. It's almost like Samsung purposely did this. I WILL CONTINUE TO POST THIS IN EVERY SOCIAL MEDIA OUTLET until this is addressed.

I understand FIXING known problems, but why take away really good features?!?!?!?!?! and my battery life is crappy now too!!! FIX stuff SAMSUNG!!! or i will look elsewhere for my new phone

Since update my app icons on sd card are ghosts--phone is slow, gets hot and resets
I've been on the phone with Samsung since last weekend. The new update buggered my phone in ways that I'm still discovering. Camera doesn't work in PRO mode, calls can no longer be blocked, battery life sucks.
Samsung has told me to 1) send the phone to them for repair 2) take it to a local UbreakIfix store for them to fix it.
I tried #2, but the guy took the phone in the back of the store, returned with it and said that I have apps that conflict, like Swype - it has to go to Samsung for them to do it. Then why was everything working fine before the update?
Now what? No phone for a week and a half? And when it comes back will it be really fixed, or is Samsung going to wait me (and everyone else) out until we get tired.

Having updated the latest software i have now lost some of the icons for battery life, date and time, my phone does not screen lock and the side buttons for the volume do not work. Has anyone else had this trouble?
