Within a few hours of doing that my phone has totally bricked.
I tried to do a factory reset and it broke during the process, and then got so hot over ten minutes I had to force it to turn off by holding every button down. It then finished reinstalling but then turned off and is now completely dead.
I am not very happy right now.
So same story as a lot of you guys on here. Installed latest Samsung update and my phone started to error whenever I close an app. It then started restarting itself over and over.
I tried to do a factory and it froze half way through, threw at error screen at me and then preceded to get hotter and hotter until eventually I managed to get it to turn off. It then rebooted and finished the reinstall, only to then promptly turn off and it is now completely bricked.
I now have a £600 paperweight and a £100 Gear VR shaped paperweight I can no longer use.
Does anyone have any advice for someone who bought their device from ebay? The phone was factory sealed and I still have the warranty book and everything else from the box.
This is obviously not the seller's fault, so I'm not going to try and claim against them.
With this latest update clearly being the issue am I legally entitled to a replacement device as it is only 5 months old and is in warranty?

Guys I got an G S7 Edge SM-G935F and the software update on phone shows 403MB, while if I try and download update via Smart Switch it shows 2118Mb, what's up with this. Which one is correct. I tried to download update via smart Switch and boy its taking forever. Anyone one with any ideas?
Latest update is a very dissapointing one. samsung u ve done a terrible mistake...do something soon to make it right.or else i ll have to switch to other cell phone.
Literally updated the phone, started to freeze constantly on me, get out of apps. slow to open things, overheat. Then tried to update to the latest software and it froze mid way through and started to reset itself. But because i have a crack in it from dropping it whilst it was hot.... I no longer have warranty with samsung. So now my phone is constantly stuck on the reset page with samsungs logo. Unfortunately the only thing i can opt to do is send it away to samsung (they have no guarantee how long it will take to return the phone, so i could be weeks with out a phone an no replacement, they also have no idea on the cost), or i can send it away to my mobile phone carrier, Telstra, and have them look at it but because it has a crack in it this voids warranty and i can pay upwards of $200 dollars to get fixed, even though its a software fault. The only good side is a get a replacement Nokia phone. But then again they don't know how long it will take to fix or how much. So i am better off paying $190 for a new refurbished phone from my carrier. Moral of the Story. IF its stuffing up go to your mobile carrier and report it or report it to samsung. Because i don't want this happening to anyone else!!!

after I switched off DEVELOPER OPTIONS, i've been able to access my camera's settings.
Got the latest Galaxy s7 update. BatteRyan life now horrible and calls are dropping.
What's going on I've updated my phone from 6.0.0 to 6.0.1 and now everything in my Samsung galaxy s7 edge is fucked I'm sorry for my language but it's a deer phone I'd love to reverse it but I don't see why I should be spending money for your message up ito was perfect before its like you've shoved a virus in with the update.
Oh my God after this update its so Slow, everything is lagging and it takes forever to hang up a call. Can i get back the old software?!
I recently had this update on my Galaxy S7. Baseband version is G930FXX1BPH1.I am having some NETWORK PROBLEMS. Sometimes it detects my SIM card and sometimes it goes "Emergency Calls Only". I had this issue before the update and after this update,it became less frequent. Also Battery drains much faster even on standby. I am more concerned about my SIM issue. Please tell me if it's a hardware issue or software.
Update has been a disaster gone from a great phone to a very glitchy one.... not happy!
Battery drains by about 50% during the night, which used to be 5 to 10% before. No apps are running in the backgrond. WTF Samsung, you ruined my phone.
Phone is lagging, battery is dying, phone is super hot...new update is crap!
same here in Holland with Galaxy S7 edge after the last update temperature increasing and the phone are unstable !!!! What the f...k samsung???????????

Im running the same version of android I updated it just yesterday. I got a higher geekbench 4 score than the previous software though.
