Yeah i did read the title properly, thats why i asked where can i get the update downloaded (from the interne) and not how to get it OTA which is region specific !!!

Your menu didnt change after the update?? Your phone sounds screwed...I guess the update didnt go well!
Pull the battery out, then back in, turn it on, do a hard reset, pull the battery out again then put it back in, wash it in fesh water then turn it back on again. You should then have a new menu layout!

If you read the title of this news post you will clearly see stated that the update is for EUROPEAN Desires only. No word yet on asian updates....
You seem to write good english, can't you read it properly??

Dave, 01 Aug 2010Perhaps someone can tell me, where's the iTunes syncing thing? When u hook it up to USB choose HTC sync and that should do the trick.

Got it last night... could not go to sleep b4 3:00am fiddling with the phone checking the new stuff...
Had to hold the phone with both hands so it won't fly :-P Daaaamn it became sooooo fast.

at last got my 2.2update its just basic on my htc desire hav u seen nexus ones the animatod meneu is cool not like the one we got cant tell much only sum apps to sd and now we hav more less intarnal memory all the wait was point less. reply

updated my British HTC Desire some hours ago ...
all is so smooth and well.. the video rec. got better, the add media to sms's is so cool , the new widgets are so nice.. also liked the thought of the App Sharing.
HAVE A HUGE PROBLEM :
The market is not working any more... it keeps on telling me "an error has occured, try again later" and when u press ok. it kicks you out of the market.
tried to google it, some said clearing the cache will solve it : IT DIDN'T

Decent update even though most of the improvements are under the hood. One feature I like is the most is the ability to attach media/files to sms on the fly pretty smooth. Overall the phone is faster and the screen feels a tud smoother.

only mpeg 4 support 720p recording....

had the desire updated, not much of an update. the only usable thing si the apps to sd, bu that only works with updated apps or the new ones u install. flashlight is of use but there was an app on market that did that.so....little dissapointed, not even eq in music player. hope that gingerbread will come soon with real improvements.
