NOKIA mad... moreBrianAW, Nokia are great with low to mid range phones. I dont think there is another brand that can touch Nokia in this sector. But when it comes to touchscreen mobiles there are much better handsets. The iPhone, most of the HTC handsets, and most of the Samsung touchscreens. The Samsung Galaxy S along with the HTC Desire and Nexus One, are the only handsets to give the iPhone a run for its money. These are all premium touchscreen devices. The N8, in my opinion, is gonna be a let down mainly due to Symbian. I think the Symbian OS has always tried to get better as the years go on and although its the oldest mobile OS, and respected amongst mobile enthusiasts, its certainly not the best.
Again please check YouTube videos on the N8 and tell me if the handset looks as responsive and snappy as the handsets I have mentioned above.

Why cant this camera, video & xenon flash be on a Android phone, is Sony Ericsson listening. (Milestone Xt720 does not count, its a cheap sensor)

NOKIA N8 juz has only one button on front of phone..its used to access the menu and multitasking..
Simple..practical..
Again..button is totally no matte r with the market sell..here is two so different thang..how come you so stup*d!!!

This is getting out of hand. Appreciate companies are improving handsets etc and adding new features. But seems like every few weeks there is a better version to the handset you have just paid for. They make all this hype about it being the future etc and after you buy it a few weeks down the line " oh, were bringing out a faster and better version"

Also I genuinely reckon the N8 will have bugs and will unresponsive. If people doubt this, simply go onto YouTube and watch any N8 video, you will see that although the phone looks decent and is feature packed, there are lags here and there which is a typical Symbian trait. The Galaxy S looks simply outstanding, im even considering going for this phone to replace my lovely 3GS. Yes an Apple fanboy is considering a Galaxy S rather than an iPhone 4!!!!!!!
People will rightly say that Samsung always bring out a new handset very quickly, which upstages a previous great handset. I have been saying this for while myself!!! However in the Galaxy S they have a handset which they have finally perfected from all the other Samsung phones, which is why I know Samsung have a fantastic device.

Im do so care my user experiences..but you dont know for NOKIA SymbianOS..I can changed my UI by installed the new likely themes..again..I changed my font size,fonts colour and frames in original setting..lol
I do all with my way juz because SymbianOS is great in personalization..That was other brand,os cant do..LOL
Instead for android..thats no..
I got 3 phones..
1 NOKIA N900
2 NOKIA N95 8GB

Im sure now NOKIA hater is almost like to "talk" about processor and UI..LISTEN..NOKIA SymbianOS is no need to use more ram to running apps..Although NOKIA N8-00 juz has 680Mhz processor but it is many use in playing 720p video,HD video recording or 3D Gaming..

No one wants a phone stuffed with rich features if it's slow, buggy and laggy. I compared a Nokia N97 mini (which costs 400 euro here) and Samsung Wave (350 euro), while Bada OS was fast and intuitive, the N97 mini was so slow, that you had to wait 3 seconds to start the menu... there's a reason why other manufacturers dumped Symbian. Maybe S^3 will be better, but it's still behind other operating systems. I think that's why Nokia wants to use Meego in their future high-end phones in.
