Anonymous, 07 Jun 2016Did you not hear about the S6 Edge and it's super drop test survival?
Seriously? Copying? S... moreI bet you Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge can't survive a 900 feet drop.
Droid Turbo (made by Motorola NOT Lenovo) is accessible all over the world. With similar parameters compared to S7 active I do not see any problem which to choose, especially when with good case (ie. Otterbox) added. Waterproofness is almost always a temporary state. If you treat your phone hard, it won't be waterproof very long.
When will samsung start to understand how exclusivety is supposed to work in a global perspective?
Any country where AT&T isn't present should be excluded, from any exclusivety deals with AT & T, meaning that is up to local carriers, resellers and Samsung offices to decide if they want to release the product to that market.
I think there are many markets, where these would sell pretty well (in relation to the over all market in that country, as I think they would be quite popular for example in the nordic region, but the countries here are quite small in population).
Anonymous, 07 Jun 2016Is Samsung now copying Motorola's ShatterShield??Did you not hear about the S6 Edge and it's super drop test survival?
Seriously? Copying? Shatter resistant glass?? Seriously??
what so ever over heating problem still exist make make power ic and memory ic week and make your phone dead use your s7 and s6 camera for 5 to 10 minute continuously then check the heating of your phone .....................Samsung build quality is too bad
Wow! 4000mah! Nice!
And its about time they made the screen stronger too!
The shear stupidity of some of these comments still has me dumbfounded.
Its a phone from the ACTIVE series. Its not meant to look good; its meant to survive trips, falls, slips etc etc. I don't understand why so many people are talking about its design. The buyers of this type of phone are aware that all the added bulk and padding takes away from a sleek look. That is just the way things are; function over form.
For the rest of you about to bash it for its lack of luster, let me reiterate; yes, its ugly as sin. We know this. The designers know this. Everyone knows this. Try not to be so confused when you read about its durability. I know many of your IQ levels maybe too low to process even slightest bit of technical information, but at least pretend to be smart before you start rattling off on your keyboards. Its rough and tough, not pretty in pink.
[deleted post]LMAO... the thing is, they dont have the need to do as you ask :D. one way it would help is if alot of people reported your comment. But i dont want to do that since its more fun reading your comments :D
Bazemk, 06 Jun 2016Can't Samsung stop finding design inspiration from Apple? The right side of this phone and the... moreSamsung has had their power button on the side since the s1, Apple only started with the iphone 6, which was released 4 years later. So technically, apple copied samsung and other companies, right?
o samsung would it kill you to screw over ATT and release an unlocked bootloader international version? :')
really makes you wonder how much this contract with ATT for active lineup is worth
silly how many people here only care about how the phones look and not their great hardware, durability, endurance, and software potential (in the case of bootloader unlocked phones, which unfortunately ATT does not allow)
JOHN, 06 Jun 2016can somebody please answer me. can't the smartphones be sold in shops In US . I mean why is ... moreThe reason is the builders have a very lucrative contract with specific carriers. I had wanted a Motorola Droid Turbo, but was SOL because Motorola has a deal with Verizon and I'm using AT&T. The S7 Active is what I'm after with that huge battery and rugged build. Didn't like the regular S7s with their glass bodies. I work in a rough environment and don't have time to charge my device. I need a water resistant, tough, and long lasting device. Some people are saying this device is ugly. To me, it's beautiful. Also, as time goes on, you'll find these online unlocked. I unlock all my phones, and will unlock this if I get it.
How stupid can Samsung be to put rubberized material around the phone, EXCEPT on the edges, exactly from where your are holding it ? It will be almost as slippery as the S7 and S7 Edge.
[deleted post]haha your creativity oozes from your post. i guess that's all the imagination one can expect from a toddler. carry on, kid.
