of course they won't use it..siri/cortana,/google now can be of use to those physically challenged but otherwise its only going to make us mindless animals...anyone seen those people in the spaceship in Wall-E???
the google now cards are somewhat useful, especially tracking shipment information and such, but otherwise it can be solved by an internet search..i haven't tried out cortana or siri in detail(internet connectivity is a joke in India) so i can't really say which is better
I prefer Jarvis in a smartphone. Though it will take more than awhile.
To the uninformed, Jarvis is Tony Stark's AI in the Ironman movie.
As someone who has used all the mobile OS's I can safely say that Siri is overhyped. Google now is much better, both at voice recognition and also makes less mistakes. Very disappointed with Siri.
"With public usage as low as 3% for iPhone users, it seems users are still uncomfortable talking to their devices."
Agreed, also, it's embarrassing when you have to repeat what you have said few times :|
hey siri, i want to remove you from my phone to free up my 16gb and half-gb ram
As it is so easy to unintentionally launch the damn thing, no surprise they got to 98%
Have unintentionally launched it at least hundred times, but never once intentionally - private or public. And NO you can not turn Shiti off, without other negative side effects.....
thanks god, i wasnt the only one thinking that talking to a phone robot is kinda stupid...

For example, when I wake up in the middle of the night and remember something I have to do the next day, I just wake the phone, say "OK Google" and tell it to take a reminder. 5 seconds, and done. Also, it's not always on by default - in fact, you CAN'T set it to always on on most phones. If I could, it would be even more useful than it is already.
I think the accuracy of the voice recognition has got to be a part of it. I asked Siri on my iPad just now "where is the Rockefeller Center". Unsurprisingly, what came out was "book a fitness center"...
and in my survey it is 100% sure that all 98% of them asked local weather and stopped using siri .. LOL !!

In pretty much all situations it's much faster to speak to Google now - to set alarm, reminder, calendar events, search queries, dictating notes, etc. It's also mostly safer while you're driving.
Why not do us a favor and go live in a jungle, then you don't have to worry about technology.
and I never even try to use Google Now in public.. its like I will have to say "Okay Google" 5 times even at home to make it respond to my voice.. as if my voice change every Day! Voice recognition has been a pathetic feature for me... don't know how to stop it to recognize only one particular voice that is saved! anyways... I don't wanna look ridiculous in public calling out for Google again and again!
Siri or any other virtual assistant isn't accurate, that's why we don't use it more often.
My cousin bought his New Iphone yearly, I remember he show me how interesting of the Siri works, we play it for awhile, after that we getting bored. But Siri is interesting, just when you knew the answer is randomly.
It's because Siri is absolutely terrible. Google Now destroys it. I miss that the most switching away from Android.
I'm on Android and one of the first things to delete after rooting my phone was to delete text to speech app along with other bs Google Apps. But I guess the same thing applies to iOS users with Siri.
I find it quite stupid to give voice commands to the phone. Other than drivers, nobody uses this. I also drive but never used it. Useless feature for normal people without any hadicap. Also people think you're really lazy or a show off when they see you using speach commands.
Another fact is that havign that feature heavily drains the battery. The mic is always on.
