zeus, 11 Jun 2016MOTO Z at the same price point as xiaomi mi5?? i hope u r kidding coz price of moto z has not ... moreWell when now I am having idea of Moto Z price that doesn't seem a good deal considering a small battery when One Plus 3 is selling at much lesser price.
TKA, 11 Jun 2016This is their (very messed up) version of a "firesale".
I was interested in purchasing a Xi... moreExactly my thoughts!
I too was waiting for the phone to be available in India. But their gimmick Flash Sales and not providing variants to choose (Storage, Color) made me to stay away from them. Though it is available in Amazon, Flipkart with one day delivery, I am not at all looking back to buy this one.
Poor marketing and not respecting the indian customer market, Overprice the phone for indian market, Poor after sale.
i don't like the black frame around the screen it makes the phone looks cheap
sid, 12 Jun 2016xiomi has a long list of features wen comparesd to azusSamsung used to have long list of features. It was called bloatware. They are trying to reduce it with each iteration. Xiaomi's MIUI is the reason it lost pretty much every speed test on youtube against other flagships priced higher(s7,iphone6s etc) as well as same pricing(LeEco, last year's OP2 etc).
This is their (very messed up) version of a "firesale".
I was interested in purchasing a Xiaomi phone a few months ago in India, but with their BS marketing gimmick of rigged flash sales...they ended up losing a customer (me).
Now it looks like Xiaomi is in full panic mode and want to dump their stocks (for albeit higher prices than what their product deserves) before the heavy competition arrives in the form of LeEco 2, ZUK 2, Moto, OnePlus and Asus. Yes, some of these have already been 'paper launched' in India, but not many are freely available for the end user to purchase just yet.
This is a situation to 'Make hay while the setting sun shines' for Xiaomi.
The overall phone is very goood but i feel that black colour mi5 would be far better than white. White colour varient is not looking good due to black border around the display which spoils the look of the phone once it is turned on.
veer, 11 Jun 2016All of you are right about pricing and availability, they have make us awaited so long . Also ... moreI love the way you say mi5 is better than two phones(oneplus and asus) which are not even officially available. You are super smart. Don't tell me about their past phones blah blah because every company improves with each generation. So, you cannot say one phone is better that the other until it is actually available.
All of you are right about pricing and availability, they have make us awaited so long . Also the previous mi3 and mi4 were launched at 20000 so why this one for 25000?China price for base model is also around 20000.
But nither other chinese flagship can provide a better experience than mi5 ,believe me my friend has one. It has a very bright super vibrant display. It has better battery life. Camera is good as well. The ecosystem of xiaomi is also better than asus and oneplus.
So in my opinion its still a better phone than oneplus and asus ,If you really want something more worthy than mi5 than wait for the moto Z ,otherwise mi5 is still better.
LKF72, 11 Jun 2016ZenFone 3 deluxe alsoBut we all know zte axon 7 takes the cake.
yes they are charging very much for this phone
there are so many better option in the market Le max, moto. etc.. they are not even providing headsets..
Mi5 now lost its charm nobody wnts to buy it now in india with this price and specs
Xiaomi will learn now how to treat there fans, and give them what they deserve
I think LeMax 2(INR23000) better option than Mi5. Lemax2 only lack in battery capacity and NFC, but comes with quickcharge 3.0 and 4GB RAM with QHD screen.
FairPlay, 11 Jun 2016Mi5 is no more seems too lucrative. There are many other options available at this price now (... moreMOTO Z at the same price point as xiaomi mi5?? i hope u r kidding coz price of moto z has not been released yet and its said to be upwards of $500 when it releases in september in stores. moto z is a very tempting phone but it will be too expensive (almost in lg g5 and htc 10 category with expensive modules)
Mi5 is no more seems too lucrative. There are many other options available at this price now (Moto Z)and many more to come (Lenovo Phab2 Plus, One plus 3). Gone are the days when Mi offered best value for money product. Neither there phones are available easily nor they have priced their phone the best.
