So is this likely to work on a canadian 1700/2100 aws 3g network (that doesn't have 4g) ?
torrentblock, spoken like a champ =]
i too wish android would start acting more like apple, i want a 'give us a rubber case' facebook group for my phone too
deep space bar, 18 Aug 2010um......htc messed up on this one ....HTC G2 is already available it was the first Droid... moreThe phone you're referring to is the "G2 touch" a different phone all together as it was restricted to the EU market only.
I just clocked their HSPA+ at 25 mbps on my home PC with a "Fair" connection. Not bad.
Anonymous, 18 Aug 2010You know this is why I sold my nexus one and went back to my iPhone. Android keeps coming out ... more"Android keeps coming out with something bigger and better every few weeks in some cases making your current android obsolete or feel as though it's not as good."
well, to be fair, android do keep improving their services and offering free over the air downloads to improve customer experience. dammit... you don't even have to plug it into itunes. the buggers.
they even have the nerve to offer those upgrades for FREE instead of charging you a premium for those upgrades!!!
when will they learn to do what Apple does and charge twice as much for a service that you have to hook up with the technology of the future (wires, obviously).
also, they should do what Apple does, wait until there's a standard in mobile phone technology, e.g. 5mp cameras, 3g connectivity, high resolution screens, and then drag their hardware up to date and then claim to be the innovative force of the industry.
sometimes i yearn for Apple's quality level of customer service. i wish android would ignore all it's faults and blame everyone else for their inadequacies.
It'll probably be a GSM version of the HTC Evo, the reason T-Mobile are calling it "4G" is that their HSDPA network is faster the Sprint/Clearview's 4G WiMax network, AT&T is also getting higher speeds.
T-Mobile USA uses a weird type of 3G on the 1700MHz and 2100MHz bands which is not compatible with many other networks.
[deleted post]sad people really must be sad ,,or 4 years old and if your 4 years old how do you afford a computer??
Anonymous, 18 Aug 2010You know this is why I sold my nexus one and went back to my iPhone. Android keeps coming out ... moretechnically, android doesn't make something better, sure it makes something bigger, but the hardware is pretty much the same. plus since you had the nexus, you got almost ALL the support for new OS's and somewhat bug fixes.
um......htc messed up on this one
....HTC G2 is already available
it was the first DroidOS phone XD what the hell is going on
[deleted post]have a look at the stats pages, or compare the two, theye are basically identical, but with a couple of minor software tweaks which you'll always see on a rebranded phone.
look things up before you look like an idiot
I hope T-Mobile doesn't brand Android with their software like they did with the Vibrant. The G1 was such an awesome phone because of that.
I thought the HTC Hero was rebranded as 'T-mobile G2'?? ... Well it was in the UK when that handset came out a year ago...
sweettttttttttt i hope its slim and has a keyboard or at least multitouch!!
