Anonymous, 15 Jun 2016How does it support dual-SIM phone variants? How can one send using a SIM1 or SIM2 option?Same here. How to send sms via sim 1 or sim 2? Pls reply tnx
aurora, 16 Jun 2016There is an option to hide your number...even if that option was available for any single SMS/MMS app, it will only work if your carrier offers that option and if paid the extra for it, if not, well the option could be turned on but wont work
Great idea and works well but there is no point cuz I can't remove normal sms and hangouts app
Anonymous, 16 Jun 2016Is your number hidden? so everyone on facebook see's your phone number no thanksThere is an option to hide your number...
I see this feature as a disadvantage. I currently use Messenger to chat because it is FREE via WiFi. By integrating SMS into the chat feature, I could get confused as I chat away. Leave SMS in my phonecall items and therefore I will know that it is a paid for event per SMS.

You must be a really sad person if you're still using Facebook. The years of 2012/2013 are over. Facebook is just a tool that takes advantage of the IT-uneducated masses.
another feature of facebook to spy on our messages. that's why i want marshmallow update now on my samsung s5 to deny all these bloody permissions. my s5 still isn't updated OTA and i don't wanna manually update my s5. i wont take risks.. I'll just wait.
This update has already been available in the Philippines for a while now, and I'm actually using Messenger as my default SMS app. Wonder why this report took so long to surface on this website.
Grey1213, 14 Jun 2016Why aren't they doing this with what's app? You know, their actual popular messaging app?Dude, Messenger is almost as popular as WhatsApp.
And I don't use WhatsApp, I don't really like it, but Messenger is simply amazing.
And in the future, this app will also be receiving emails. well, it is pretty exciting. haha... more convenient actually.
Ironic given that Facebook's SMS notification service no longer works.
there is some update for call logs and missed calls in messenger also happening on android now
