But if they add this with the front led too then i can see no problem in a little glow ring on the back, I think that it would bo cool to have another way of letting you know about notifications and if you lay the phone face down a larger notification light would be a welcome new feature.

I don't think you need to be careful about that at all.

as far as I know, if there are incoming events, the screen will light up for a second.
LMAO how dumb everyone sounds here. You guys need to check the Sony Xperia SP (2013). My good old phone had all the 'glows' Samsung could ever imagine, whether you place it face down or up, you could still see what kind of notification it is brightening through its transparent strip at the end. Thats the only thing is miss in my Xperia Z5.
AnonD-89109, 16 Jun 2016Why would someone wanna put his/her device face down? Meaningless to me!Meaningless to you but helpful for us. sometimes/most of the time, we are putting our phones face down as to avoid the camera being scratched. it's much better to put the phone facedown than have a scracth a camera though.
N8 had this breathing light and if therz ny notifications it blinks faster.. Around the front menu button , very useful .. Frankly I miss symbians.. Wish Nokia could improve the Symbian according to present technology n launch another e series or n series... Those were the days of excitement of a new launch of Nokia new phone new features wow .. Now so many companies so many phones n such a short life of phones
The artist's impression of the smart glow looks very ugly, hope it looks better in real unit
Anonymous, 16 Jun 2016but a solution to bring it on the front would have been betterCorrect.

Love it! Anyone who uses a case knows that we keep phones face down on tables so, interesting feature, wish it comes to the flagships soon.

my xperia sp does the best job of notification led on all phones!
This will be an awesome solution if you placed your phone face first on the table and helping with selfies, and if it also has the notification led on the front it'll be awesome. The gyroscope and sensors can recognise which side the phone is facing and which led to use for notifications, and for us with a crazy girlfriend, whom we love, can never miss her message
