Android does eat out a lot of RAM. I would welcome a phone with 8GB, even if the processor is only a mid-range. Out of curiousity, i tried two phones with the same processor (sd 410), similar hardware (camera, sd slot) but with different RAM amounts. (1GB vs. 2GB) and the extra RAM does help out a lot in making things run a lot smoother!

on a side note: on my current phone that has 4 GB, RAM usage is already close to 3GB without any apps running. My smart cover feature, when on, is already using 120 MB of RAM. U add facebook, snapchat, instagram and it adds up quite fast... not to mention the games and their built-in notifications. also, LG's keyboard alone is using over 100 MB. If i start using my phone on the internet, i feel it getting sluggish when a few tabs are opened. using an app with cpu read outs, my cpu utilization shows my processor isn't the culprit, so i think adding more RAM would help relieve the sluggishness.

From what I saw in speedtests , an instance of Asphalt 8 opened in the beginning , remains as is when the test ended.
I know what you are saying was right in the past , but I believe Apple has worked on this and changed it for the better in all iPhones and iPads having 2GB or more RAM.

Android's problem is ram management. If you give it mythic amounts of Ram it's the fastest OS! Just install remix OS in your laptop and see how faster it is than Windows, iOS, MacOS

Android indeed has an issue due to low ram, but once solved it shines, stop spreading fund! There is a reason why it is almost 90% of the market share, now that most phones have decent amounts of ram the one issue that mostly made people to prefer other OSES is now gone.

8gb would be heaven. The phone would make iPhone look slow. No loading screens ever, everything cached...

Kambing lapar, 17 Jun 2016Most of chinese made phone nowadays focusing on bigger ram.such an a attention seekerIt should be noted that they are not only focusing on ram but on camera (25 MPX) and Snapdragon 823. Cant ask for more at that price... Simple good. Moreover Le seems to offer better specs when compared to competition at much cheaper rate.
