Anonymous, 17 Jun 2016yesssss come on tizen - smasung fanboy probably lulzIts a Samsung thread !
Hopefully the new gear smartwatch will be just as compelling as the last iteration.
I would like to see Gear 3 also come with the emergency feature. By pressing some buttons or gesture it will send an SMS to emergency contacts with the GPS location. Indeed I would like to see the Find My Watch feature where I can remotely locate when the watch is. I would then buy my child the watch and would be able to find out where he is if needed.
And of course, also need Samsung Pay for the Gear 3.
Tizen is samsungs first choice for smartwatches which google really doesn't like. Soon thwy will make the switch to a broader Tizen phone line up, which google will again not like. And after that their target is to completely abandon android and go all in with Tizen on all devices.
Anonymous, 17 Jun 2016I love tizen...
I using a tizen smartphone and its just more than awesome.. Its so fast and ... moreAgreed, Tizen is faster, smoother and longer battery life than Android.
If the app gap is addressed, maybe i will try Tizen smartphone
Samsung has the best smartwatch on the market right now. Although there are other alternatives, the price is amazing for what you get. Tizen has been shown to improve battery life, speed, and is the "Apple of Smartwatches." I work with many professionals, with all different variations of smartwatches. In my office, I know people who have Motorola, Asus, Apple, and other companies on their wrists. All of them seem envious of the spinning bezel, battery life, variations of watch faces (always-on mode included). The appearance is not cheesy, like many other watches, and the amount of bands that can be used is limitless.
I plan on keeping my S2 Classic, and will get the S3 once it's available...As long as it is available in a Class Edition.
I love tizen...
I using a tizen smartphone and its just more than awesome.. Its so fast and battery life is just unbelievable and no lags compared to android and in smartwatches its the same case with tizen..
Tizen for smartwatch is 100000x better than full-blown Android that just dressed as Watch OS, it would not need quad-core cpu and 2GB just to load few small watch apps and show time at 320x320 resolution.
But still I dont see ANY reason for for such big systems for smartwatches.
Point of Smartwatch is to collect basic data of user(step counter, gps) and show basic notification(social apps, calls, calendar and alarms) and why the heII such device would need such os and power? Because Android need it to run it self.
Now think about it, any older phone system like we had at SonyEricsson or Nokia could manage such task and they would need less than half of such power! And because of less power hungry hardware we could squeeze easily even one week of heavy usage on them without kiIIing the battery.
Look at first Samsung Gear Fit, I have it, and its perfect, simple sport tracking device and all notifications from phone and apps, and it run on custom OS, because it doesnt need to do anything more.
For All other heavy task you have your phone that you buy for 400-700 every year and every year scream for bigger screen, and if you want to call and browse internet using 1.8inch screen... you have serious mental disorder.
