Soon more and more companies will release phones with non-Android operating systems.
And that's a good thing. Android is too intrusive, Google wants to know everything about you - not a good OS.
I, for one, wouldn't trust Google with any of my credentials or personal details or bank details or anything. But the mediocre sheep that are using Android devices seem to just don't care about their privacy and/or don't understand how Google/Android works.
Poor, mindless people...
Akinaro, 23 Jun 2016They should talk with Samsung and stick to Tizen. I know that its competition, but this bossin... moreTizen is actually co-developed between Samsung and Huawei, Samsung had Huawei help them on it.
that is a good idea to be prepared for anything. I think Huawei is concerned about a hot war starting between USA vs Russia.
it wont be a good idea,
for sure they can sell in china and india pretty well but huawei only support phones max 1 year and if they release their os im sure they wont support it too, their os will be doomed like meego or maemo 5 even samsung's tizen is not popular and firefox os only released on some zte and alcatel phones. so still i think they better use android or they will lose their current customers as well
They should talk with Samsung and stick to Tizen. I know that its competition, but this bossiness doesn't work like most of people think and cooperations like that are really good for market and clients.
Tizen have huge potential because it's not build on old platform like android that just can't use power and possibilities of modders devices. It's nothing more that old guy that put new clothes and pretend to me teeneger
Good move but let's hope not to make the mistake what Nokia did. Huawei is the best brand right now out there. Mate 8 is the one which every other phone wants to be.
Anonymous, 23 Jun 2016i dont think it will succeed...but name NOKIA will never dieOhh yeah.. Same feeling here too..
Stop overthinking and waste money about new emui, just release your amazing phones with stock Android and you'll increase sales, being at the same time much more quick and efficient supporting new android releases.
Chineses will never understand that, everything they do ends to be cumbersome for no reason.
Thats foolish. It would have to be out of this world to make it anywhere. Otherwise it will just be adding to too many choices and be looked passed
A wise business practice. Best not to have eggs all in one basket. With some of the Nokia power in there it may not be half bad. I am no fan of Huawei at this stage but I read with interest how you are developing and wish you the best. Its always a great thing to have something change ones mind about something so we look forward to your development.
Good luck with the new is. Maybe the Chinese use it, but I wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole.
1ns0mniac, 23 Jun 2016Yeah, they are selling large no. of phones in China may be & now trying to fly by themselv... moreWhat's terrible about their ui? Just because you don't like it, it doesn't mean its terrible. They sell well in China because that's what the Chinese want. Now that they're expanding to the west they are smart enough to change their ui to match the different market.
Who told them to EVEN think about it? They should keep in mind their pathetic UI.
Hey---Did Huawei mean Google will not last longer?~
But Huawei was right about prepare anything that restrict it's unique way.
Yeah, they are selling large no. of phones in China may be & now trying to fly by themselves. My advice is to have a look at Tizen/Firefox/Jolla. And if you check their (Huawei) skinned android UI (terrible), you can imagine how the OS gonna be!
Fingers crossed more folk develop and release alternatives to android, its not as if android has not got any problems..
