To all that blather about removeable batteries( Which I prefer.) you had years to constantly raise this issue on iphone threads, to destroy their credibility, which , you chose not to do.Are you from apple, are you from another phone manufacturer, of whom Samsung is your bitter rival in sales ? The note series of phones are the best in the industry, when they come out, right across the entire spectrum, likum, or not. Non replaceable batteries are where we are at. Genuine posters ie. those not pretending to be members of the public, might mention apples total failure in the battery dept in their posts just to keep it gen. Cheap Chinese or inferior Korean brands need not apply.

I haven't seen any such life cycle in any original batteries. Even the best original battery goes down after 400-500 charges. I only use original batteries. Cheap fake batteries die out after 100-200 charges.

Every other country especially Asian and less than 1st world nation markets you can see they are very conscious about maintenance because they are not having the disposable income or the means to numerous credit card debts like people in USA do. People in such countries look for something that lasts long and most are already aware how much of a pain it is to get anything done at service centers. Service centers = unpleasant experience all the time. Now we have to pay through the roof for the privilege of changing a simple thing like the battery, not to mention the hopeless efficiency of the service centers and total disdain for the customer like we owe them something.
Those who change their phones every year or 2 surely wont face any of that, they are fools who are paying far more than they should.

All the note goodness, huge battery, a few nice speakers, led laser projector, 10x optical zoom? However use a camera sensor with 1.6-2um sized pixels and the new 100% focus sensor like now in a 16-24mp range.
Throw in a keyboard or some water resistance....it would be nice

No phone save the Lumix CM1 is any good at low light pictures, the rest of the phone are pure jokes with laughable quality. In day light most phones do the job just as good so really no reason to change phones every 1 year or 2 years. Infact not even 3-4 years as long as the apps you use are working just fine for you.
Your irate response proves my point, you have buyer's remorse and you want to justify your expensive pointless purchase. Pretty natural reaction but one born of naivety.

You said there was nowhere to go and thar any upgrades wouldn't be noticed. That's clearly saying the upgrades are useless. Which is bologna. As well claiming that you can't notice the difference in screen quality, cpu gpu speed and especially camera. Efficiency is also part of those upgrades my dim friend.
And none of that discredits anything else i said.
i would gladly buy a fat samsung flagship, if it would mean a perfect battery for the power. even girls likes guys who lasts longer in bed, than the ones just shooting off right away and then its done.

Mobile cpus and cameras are the best they can ever get and no improvement is noticeable?
What stone age are you from?
Lets halt advancement in technology because some old people and others who only buy $800 phones just to text and surf fb think you can't improve things and nobody else needs anything better because they don't
Anonymous, 29 Jun 2016Not enough for lagdroid. That is getting old dude. Seriously now, have you ran out of things to say? Android is improving with every iteration.
You need to go on a let it go seriously.
Its obvious there is nowhere to go from the S5 and Note 4. Samsung knew that. They knew any cpu upgrade wouldnt be noticable. Same goes for camera. No use for a 2k display let alone 4k. Really all they could do was add a bigger battery and more storage but then no one would buy the base model.
So what did they do? They targeted a different audience...the Apple hipsters who buy flashy things. They sealed the battery and took away the sd card. That backfired a bit too much so they returned the sd card slot. However you will still need to pay to replace the battery and for more storage.
The need for upgrading ended with the s5 and Note 4. Upgrading today is just for bragging rights and you know it. Stop justifying your greed.

But let us look at the practical side of things, like Grey1213 already pointed out. Most of the customers who buy flagship phones are looking for a jewelry, not really a phone. AND they pay with their wallets. That is why iphones are selling that well, despite being inferior to many android flagships in many aspects. They are the majority, not us who want functional phones with replaceable batteries. We don't have a choice but to accept this fact and move on. And keep choosing the products from OEMs who value/meet our needs (in this case LG is the loner), so that they are not discouraged and join the other OEMs (read Apple, Samsung).

What can an 820 Snapdragon do that a 801 cant? They can both run all the games you can buy. Theycan both run all the apps you can buy. The ui on phones using either is smooth. So...what?
