I think that notification should be read like this:
"Windows 10 Experimental Phase will end soon.
Thank you for all early adopters that unknowingly become beta testers for Windows 10 OS in the last 12 months."
If win10 were reliable as win7 I would have switched a year ago
people who will switch to win 10 from win7 only those who cares about speed and smooth they dont care about how simple interface windows 7 was / all they do is browsing and emails and simple stuff not heavy multi task and games and school

Problem with win10 start when you need to WORK with specific applications and hardware.
Windows10 have really F### up certificate and drivers system that not only dont work, but block this hardware totally or mess it up.
For example I work in Car workshop, where I need to use bunch of special apps, really basic in terms of their build and size but depend really on hardware and their drivers. I need to use few diagnostic devices that are really sensitive in terms of data speed and stability and some of them need really hard setts up in drivers settings.
Now all those apps dont work with windows10 at all! Win10 cant even support some USB drivers that I use for diagnostic Fiat/Alfa cars. Some LPG diagnostic tools are still in DOS environment so you can totally forget about using it either.
Even some newer hardware like CDIF series have problem with win10, and this application is well known for diagnostic of almost all cars starting from 2003-2015
And this is small part of problems with win10. Because its not like you can go to site and download new drivers... its not graphic card, some applications are made in times of winXP, some are build by small companies for specific work, some of them dont exist for few years...
But it have problems even with certificates and drivers of more popular hardware. So you can multiply that problem by few thousands, taking in to the account how many companies woke up with win10 on their devices and messed up software/hardware and time and resources to revert to win7/8
Other thing is also amount of data that win10 use in background...
Start your windows10, use it for few hours and check your router logs and how much transfer are send to some random IPs. I did that and after one day, and removing data that I made my self, I found out that win10 can send from 3 to even 15Mb of data from your PC to few IPs of microsoft, and few random ones that I could not check. I would not believe that its just windows update that "check for new drivers" like some people say.
Win10 is good for average people, but any other usage is pain, win7 was perfect because it had really good back compatibility so you could still use hardware and even some drivers made for XP! try that with win10!

I mean, personally i... moreusing it. buggy as gawd but liveable. 10 tries to be part 7 and part 8 with 7's recent files list in the start menu and similar user friendly features plus 8's awesome performance (best memory handling i've ever seen on an OS)... but its still toooooo raw... unfinished... unimaginable how this got outta the stable... even balmer's windows 8 with its idiot start menu was more 'finished' than this... of course it ended up being finished but you get the drift...

I won't and I uninstalled that virus app already. There is a reason why Microsoft are begging, groveling and pleading people to upgrade to Win10 - look at privacy reports to find out.

I recently updated to Win-10 Pro from Win-8.1 Pro, all existing apps, drivers etc are intact.
Booting speed have been improved, over all Win-10 is faster than Win-8.1 Pro.
Cortan is nice indeed.
Can someone tell me why someone wouldn't upgrade their PCs to Windows 10. I mean, personally it is the best windows version ever. Much smoother than my windows 8.
window 7 , 8 and 8.1 is much batter than window 10, overheating issue on both amd and intel based laptop 70 to 80 degree temp, to much fan noise and cortana takes too much memory and cannot be stopped. always crashes on right click even on fresh install.

Should I update? Me and my cousin have the same laptop he upgraded and they had to change the motherboard.
P.S: it's a ASUS x500jx
it runs faster, better and smoother on my 2010 VAIO than the original windows 7 it came with. it's overall a good OS, also you can roll back to 7 if you don't like it, but let's face it it's way better than 8 or 8.1.
