It is good that Xiaomi has launched a cheaper version for people who are okay with these specs. But if you look at statistics, you can see oppo, vivo and Huawei are gaining popularity even Xiaomi is best balance and value and other brands are pricier and even overpriced, specially oppo, which is selling helio p10 phone at the same price as Mi5 128gb. This is because Xiaomi phones are not available to buy when customers want to buy it. Only Mi5 32gb 3GB is available in India only in white. They should increase their production so that they can reach demand. Other brands spend much on R (like Huawei) or marketing and advertising (oppo and vivo). If Xiaomi doesn't do that to lower prices, it's OK, but at least invest in production facilities.

In India Only Gold Color Handset is Launch.. Whereas the Silver White Luks Awesome.... as else in China get Various Color Options & Also the 32 & 128 GB Variant..
iPhones have probably the same amount of ram and rom by default. There's NOTHING wrong with this configuration.
The xiaomi note3 3gb ram is out of stock at xiaomi site in malaysia since April n mi max isn't launch yet. Now u have cheaper version of mi max. What is going on here? Very funny indeed!!

And Android 6.0 has more features than 5.0. Your machine runs smoothly with basic apps, but do it suck in heavier apps or games? Answer yourself.
I've been running a Huawei Ascend Mate2, which has 2gb ram, Snapdragon FOUR HUNDRED processor, running LL5.1
It's smooth as silk, does all I need (lots of web for work) youtube, text, email, phone, mp3's, photos....for the bulk of users, it is all you need.
If you are into running benchmarks, 3D games and are a pixel peeper, then then lower end devices are NOT for you, but if you find one that is smooth, stable, it's all you really need. Stop believing the HYPE on these overpriced flagships that come with sky high prices!
Anonymous, 05 Jul 2016You got what you paid. For person who can live with 2GB and 16 GB. next what there will be Mi max with 8gb storage and 1 gb ram ?
couldn't xiaomi just focus more on manufacturing redmi note 3 so they won't be out of stock or make more mi5 pro and 64 gb version so it can be released in other markets like India
they are announcing a new phone every two days like lennova
Anonymous, 05 Jul 2016You got what you paid. For person who can live with 2GB and 16 GB. How about those who only got 1gb ram in their phones?
Anonymous, 05 Jul 2016You got what you paid. For person who can live with 2GB and 16 GB. What's wrong with having 2gb ram? I think it's enough for everything. The difference in app switching between 3gb and 2gb using this phone is minimal. Of course with 3gb or 4gb you can have more apps open, but why would you need 30 apps open at once? About the storage, it's easily expandable with microsd.
