Someone Else, 10 Jul 2016I know right. The Galaxy S7 last longer than the Galaxy S5 despite the higher resolution and b... moreThe S5 was rated 72 hours on kitkat, only lollipop+ it was rated 83 hours.
It lasts longer than an S6.
However I would say that the S5 doesn't last as long as the S7 despite having the higher score (talk time has gotten worse for some reason)
The screens/processors on the S6/7 are much new and hence much more efficient than the S5.
I used to keep changing my Note 3 battery at around 4pm, because I have LTE and notifications on, and I use 6 hours SOT. My average data consumption is about more than 2GB DAILY. So, for me, I need something that is just above 6,000mAh. Since February, I got myself a 10,000mAh - NO need to worry about battery charge for the day, I'm online 24/7, and the only times I plug in is before I go to bed. Full battery in the morning. Here's my statistics for over 100 charge cycles: http://flic.kr/p/JiLEsA
I'm thinking of getting a Note 4, instead of the Note7 because there a 10,000mAh for it. A smartphone is foremost a tool. I do not understand why seal the battery, and put glass at the back to call it "premium".
I have Zenfone 2 with 59H endurance time on GSMArena review and always get 3-4H ScreenOnTime (Browsing and hearing many of music, playing HD game), I just waiting Android 6 so its will be improving battery life and performance. and I always charge it twice every day.

Days don't matter! You could lightly use a phone and have it run for like a week or something without charging, its the Screen on Time that matters, and I would like to have around 10 hours or something, spanning in 24-36 hours.

ITS A REAL SHAME, i guess its just ignorance? why does the poll mean by "bring back 3+ days between charges" that technology is already here i can list too many phones that can do this BUT since people believe in jesus brands like samsung and apple and still have bad ideas for international phones they will never know, going of the poll i see why the big brands arent pushing good battery life because the hypocrite consumers dont want it they just want 1 day of use then still complain about wanting bigger batteries -_-
@GSMArena, i know that battery life is not infinite ok... But you can simulate this, or get near ate least. So, for me, anything less than this is not acceptable. That option is not included in the vote, so ill not go for any option.
IF the phone have removable battery, you can get some extras (like 2?) and get the phone from 0 to 100% in 1 minute or less. This aproach simulates infinite battery life at some point.
The only limitation is that you need to charge the battery(s) at some point. For this, i have a BATTERY CHARGER, and that charger for to the wall, not my phone. Hes always with me, and i plug in the charger when i have a convenient situation only. Like when im at home, b4 going to bed, or i have a friendly charger near and not used. I dont carry charging cables most of the time.
Trust me, its really hard to burn 9.000 mHa from the 3 battery before you have to care about charging. (I got a galaxy note edge). Usually swap battery at 20-25%, so i got some juice left on a alredy changed battery for ultra power saving mode if needed. I NEVER used it.
2 extra battery (plus the battery charger) and no charging cables is a really low volume on your pocket. A really geat mobile solution.
There is no solution better than this for the battery problem at this time. Fast charging? Wireless charging? Useless if you dont need to charge on the go.
Most companies use sealed battery on the phones today. It helps with desingn, but in my opinion its not the motivation behind this move. When your battery reaches the end on its life cycle, you need to send it for repair, and it takes **TIME** + charging for the replacement change + battery. Most people when face this problem, BUY A NEW PHONE, and thats what the companies want. Money rolling out...
Im not changing my phone any time soon because of this. I have no battery problems AT ALL. (its not infinite like i said, but its near ^_^). If you need more juice, buy 4+ extra battery. Not bulky, no phone plugged. True mobile.
When the companies offer me a better solution (its not needed ATM lol) then ill consider going with a sealed battery phone.
My english is bad, but you got the idea. If you got this, then my english did its job.
Yes but with my usage3H SoT id a joke
Need to charge it few times a day
M.G, 10 Jul 2016Don't even get me started. Samsung has one of the worst battery lifeWhat do you mean? They're the best at the moment in terms of battery life and battery optimisation. Far better than Apple, HTC, lg, motorola, Sony, etc.
If they bring back the user replaceable battery then there is no issue with battery life. I carry a spare battery for my S5 and never ran out of power not once in the last 2 years. Hope this message get to those greedy phone manufacturer.
M.G, 10 Jul 2016Don't even get me started. Samsung has one of the worst battery lifeTrue. Touchwiz sucks battery faster.
Well if the. device makers made phones for normal folk and not just for idiots who are more worried about a little bulb in a suit pocket or a handbag already full of tart and who appear not to be able to move if a device ways more than 6 ounces, then we would not have this problem,we might even have a few devices with proper full body size slide out qwerty keyboards,an item that turns up again and again in forums etc, this is what happens when designers are allowed to take over from engineers, post stupid skinny phones with 12 hour battery life, how many folk would really mind carrying a phone again that is am inch thick, weighs ten ounces,BUT has easily a 24+ hour battery life and a full sized qwerty slide outbkeyboard,it would be nice if the makers gave us the choice, but they don't,because post designers don't like the idea, sack the bloody envelope scribblers and give the job back to engineers...
