2. Security wise, Android is not preferred, true. However, many companies actually prefer iPhone. Plus, people actually want to use iPhone with its rich app ecosystem. With more and more companies doing BYOD, iPhone becomes the preferred choice.

Other don't, and it's completely understandable. Android/Samsung security is not even close to Windows or iOS, so the IT department clearly doesn't know what they're doing or they don't care. Either way, it's not ok.
I, for one, wouldn't even use an Android device for personal needs. I wouldn't enter any of my email or other online accounts info on Android, not to mention credit cards, etc. That's a big no-no.
If it aint x86 not worth it. ARM and Windows = no Apps (full desktop ones)
This thing looks cheap, back in 2010 maybe.. those fake chrome accents would have impressed me.

Samsung Know have multiple security awards and Samsung partial encryption proven to be best of both words (compared to apple forced encryption on all content which makes it slow).

An Androi... moreThis phone is actually made for the business environment - where Android has no place due to the poor security, multitude of bugs, and the daily issues that pop up when you actually try to do something with your phone.
This is running on Windows because people who work on the go need a reliable device that does not stutter, force close apps, restarts, or needs a factory reset every 6-8 months in order to function properly.
Also, a phone that is not tied to Google, is a good phone. Serious companies don't even allow Android devices to connect to their servers and services, so Windows is the better choice.

An Android phone will have more utility than a Windows 10 Phone, considering that even Microsoft made MS Office for Android. On the other hand, can Windows Phone 10 match an Android phone for non-Microsoft tools? Zero Google apps?
On top of that, a regular Windows 10 laptop will be more useful than this terminal.
So I say an Android phone and a regular Windows 10 laptop will be more useful and more productive than this HP combo.
at that price, i can get a better laptop. way better. with fully fledged desktop OS.
To the other commentators, this is NOT a full Windows Laptop.
The Laptop Extender is "empty" inside apart from ports, a screen and keyboard. It simply uses Continuum to display the Phone bigger, which runs Windows 10 Mobile. So you can NOT run .exe (x86) full programmes on this. It's still an interesting offer and you can always remote to another PC to run full programmes remotely, but on it's own this is not a full Windows 10 Laptop so the price is actually very expensive.
Don't need it... One mobile like galaxy Note is more than enough for General user.... Just think.. Do you real need it on the go?
AnonD-428442, 11 Jul 2016Buying a separate phone and laptop is probably cheaper, and you get more utility off the laptop. But will not have real Windows 10 PC in the pocket.
That runs everything from the phone to the laptop
Right?
Rummaga, 11 Jul 2016I thought this was a Windows phone Looks like, this is real full blown Windows 10 phone. Not the mobile WP OS. Real PC in the pocket.
So guys stop with this iOS/Android comments.
BTW for bundle: phone+ dock+netbook the price $1200 is not big at all
Come on android and ios boys! This is not for kids... go check another page!

mir, 11 Jul 2016Innovation on what? You can get a decent laptop that will outperform this overpriced package a... moreAndroid in a business environment? xD Not even once. Most companies that have an IT department won't even allow you to connect to the company's email and cloud storage due to the massive security holes and bugs in the OS. Not to mention the constant support they need to offer to Android users.
iOS is kind of better than Android in business environments, but it's still not a business/productivty OS.
So yeah, Windows is the best when it comes to doing stuff while mobile. Android is good for multimedia and some gaming, while iOS is is all about having the newest and most trending apps first.
Buying a separate phone and laptop is probably cheaper, and you get more utility off the laptop.
Anonymous, 11 Jul 2016Now this is true innovation. Unlike "edge" displays and other useless gimmicks. Good job HP... moreInnovation on what? You can get a decent laptop that will outperform this overpriced package and have enough money left to buy a proper flagship phone that runs a proper mobile OS like android or even iOS.
