Anonymous, 15 Jul 2016Welcome to 2015, Samsung! It's nice that you try catching up to Windows phones. (a year later)They aren't really playing catch-up though, most phones don't have an iris scanner, and the Lumia wasn't crazy popular. They're just setting a standard for future flagship, that's all.

And I have been using Lumias since I abandoned Android.
I don't know what you find laughable about your comment except your stance. I answered to someone that said Samsung was innovative for bringing old features to their phones.

crapple it is, 15 Jul 2016how many people are using 3d touch ???? ... its a overrated feature .. nothing exiting about i... moreI was trying to say, 3d touch functionality gives more opportunities than iris scanner. Think about using 3d touch with s-pen. If phone could understand the pressure of s-pen , you could do some pretty amazing things. I think an example of a good feature of 3d touch is, when you press harder on an instagram photogram for example, it shows you a preview. Or you can use several different functionalities of apps just from home screen. I think these would be better than iris scanner.
(not an iphone fanboy btw, not at all. android all the way)
Anonymous, 15 Jul 2016I see an iris scanner being great for people in cold climates who wear gloves all the time.ok but even if you unlocked the phone via iris, what would you do then? you are wearing gloves! :D
who in the right mind would waste time staring at their phone first at a certain angle just to unlock their phone? what's next? voice recognition for unlocking your phone?
