WTF, HTC is charging flagship prices for midrange specs. Even the original HTC 10 has a hard time competing with other competitors at a comparable price, way to go trying to revive your company HTC.

Anonymous, 15 Jul 2016Both the standard 10 and 'Lifestyle' are way too expensive. This 'Lifestyle' is €200 too ex... moreApparently when things are going bad the only thing left to do is rip off your customers :-(

Other companies rip off customers from the get-go others change attitude more slowly. Fact is that from 2015 on prices have been increasing while features are decreasing.

I remember that once I could replace my battery myself after 2 years or so, I had an IR-blaster, I had a headphone-jack, I had a sensible screen resolution and frame-rates for games and video went higher (not lower) with each new generation of phone. Hell, I even remember phones with a xenon-blitz that could take pictures in pitch dark that had loud speakers without additional "add-on" JBL-crap.

We are doomed :-(

People usually want the highest end phone to show off, so €44 isn't enough of a saving to go with the lower end hardware. Maybe €144 is. It's all psychology, and €44 isn't going to make the 10 Lifestyle sell well.

For the asking price of this device HTC should just have created a FHD 10 (with otherwise same SoC as normal 10) instead of a cheaper and lower spec SoC (which just hasn't got enough oomph to drive QHD). This is a problem too for the Alcatel idol 4S. I'd rather had a FHD screen instead of that QHD. Framerates in (race-)games is ridiculous. :-(

Both the standard 10 and 'Lifestyle' are way too expensive. This 'Lifestyle' is €200 too expensive.

This is symptomatic of HTC. Decent or lacklustre devices that are massively overpriced.

They simply can't compete with the likes of Samsung in performance and features ... yet they insist on pricing their devices similarly.

Eventually they'll sell nothing at all. Their sales are roughly a quarter of what they were, in a market that's hugely expanding.

When are they going to get the message?

I'd bought on Mercado Livre the One X and One M8. Now I had to use a Galaxy Note 3 to record in 4K and it's very worse than M8...

This is just sad...
First LG with the G5 SE...
Then Sony with Xperia X...
Now HTC...

Here in Brazil LG and Sony brought just this versions... and very expensive!
We don't have Nexuses anymore... neither HTC...
We only have left Samsung and maybe Motorola (Lenovo) with hi-end SOCs... or Apple...
The market here has become ridiculous in the past 2 years...

HTC get your shit together.
This phone should be MAX 500€
I know that sony xperia x is also over 500€ but thats also stupid..
snapdragon 652, 3gb ram, qhd, great camera, fingerprint scanner, latest updates and premium bild quality should be max 500€..
Look at Alcatel Idol 4S, it has everything the same as HTC 10 "Crapstyle" (build quality might be better) for only 350€.

You can pre-order the Idol 4S for $350 and get VR headset, JBL headphones and Quick charger included. The phone by itself is better than this garbage.
