SaltandPepper, 28 Jul 2016Galaxy S7 edge (non removable) 3600mAh battery + Zerolemon 8500mAh = 12100mAh battery
https... moreNope. You have to consider that energy loss from the power pack's stepping up its voltage to 5.5V to charge the internal battery. You end up able to use some only 2/3s of the actual battery capacity, and therefore can only be 5600mAh+3600mAh. That's 9200mAh, not 12100mAh.
Plus the internal battery is rated to go for only around 300 charge cycles. That means 300 (at worst) full cycles of from drain to full, or equivalent of accumulated charges. If you used only 60% for the day and then start charging to full, that means it's 0.6 charge cycle. If you used 85% and then charge till it's full, that's .85 charge cycle.
So, if you keep charging every time it reaches 15% at everyday, that means (100%÷85%)x300= 353 days till that internal battery becomes wonky. You have to understand that all batteries degrade, even not in use.
It's pure marketing genius that Apple started this sealed battery trend so that people will actually buy another device by the following year. And now Samsung is following that strategy. Removable battery is still the best and most practical solution, without ever having to waste money and time going to a service center.
Was it just me or did anybody else not understand what the user in the video was saying?
Not that I appreciate the effort, but why tease us with a prototype flat version when it seems that the consensus is we are getting a slimmed down version of an "Edge" only screen. Oh wait, because you don't know for sure. It's all rumors and speculation or past prototypes. Just like we don't know if we going to be getting a 3500mAH, 3600mAH or a 4100mAH battery. Or 820/4GB or 821/6GB version.
Oh Wait! Where is the prototype wireless charging S-Pen that has a 750mAH battery built-in that will never see the light of day either?
No need to attack or flame me guys. I know some of you would rather see something then nothing -- regardless it's something we may never see in our hands and will just end up resenting Samsung for knowing the prototype went this far.
We have to 5 days till the launch date. I think at this point we can wait for the official disappointing news.
Old prototype at best. It's flat. Little suggests that the flat one is even in the works anymore. It's not curved, so is not the coming version, anyway. It may as well be a Note 5 with Grace version of TouchWiz.
x, 28 Jul 2016Sorry, if its comes without removable batterry, I skip it... again :(
Note2+Zerolemon 9300mAh... moreGalaxy S7 edge (non removable) 3600mAh battery + Zerolemon 8500mAh = 12100mAh battery
And maybe Zerolemon will make Note7 extended battery case!
To those crying over non removable batteries, forgot about it... Those days are over. A removable back cover spoils the premium build of these devices today.
G, 28 Jul 2016Can we please stop with the misleading prototype videos. Makes me sick that they are only rele... moreNO WAY Samsung will release only an edge variant of the galaxy note. Its virtually IMPOSSIBLE.
Same as the S series, they will release flat and edge versions.
My Note 3 is also still working superb, and I will buy the FLAT Note 7 after its released.
The rumors of only an edge version of the Note 7 are just to increase the pre-launch hype.
G, 28 Jul 2016Can we please stop with the misleading prototype videos. Makes me sick that they are only rele... moreI am in the same boat. I still have the Note 3 and wanted to get the Note 5 but didnt because lack of external memory. I am not a fan of the curved display but I guess it is what it is. I am one of those "power users" that need a crazy amount of memory. I have unlimited data and travel a lot for work so I tether, download, and use my phone as a hot spot. I average well over 80GB of data per month. I have used as much as 145GB of data in a month. If I am not "Feeling" this phone once its revealed I may have to get the Note 4 and hope the Note 8 is better... LOL
No removable battery = this! https://plus.google.com/106725471625648794430/posts/ZzXgnbyL9Ad?pid=6312440551171391554&oid=106725471625648794430
For those that is wonder why is this a flat variant of the Note7? As he did explain in the video, it's a prototype and the grace UX also include the edge panels and there will only be one Note7 with dual edge as we know by now.
seems like no upgrade for the s7. im still waiting for the low battery that will kill the phone.
tired to watch the video, the exterior is just very very similar to a Iphone. the difference is the S-pen I don't use as it is a gimmicks.
Can we please stop with the misleading prototype videos. Makes me sick that they are only releasing an Edge variant. I have the Note 3 which serves me well but was disappointed with the 5 (personal reasons) so i waited for the 6/7 only to find out that they are releasing this gimmicky crap. Any suggestions on what I should upgrade to next? (aside from the Iphone)
