Why samsung and apple stick to 12mp?
Because nowdays phone camera its stuck in pixel size... look at sony xperia... stuck from 21mp and will stuck again in 23 for next 2 years...
And user will say "sony... you dont have any inovation"...
Soo... before it happen samsung decide to push back to 12mp... adding some upgrade... save more pixel for next year upgrade... and when it come to newr pixel limit... back to 12mp... and again and again
For battery... i have no doubt they capable to make huge amounts battery in slim profile... but they save it for stock inovation...
Sory for my bad english

But I can say, the #OnePlus3 beats the Samsung galaxy 7 easily in the day light shots. Better Dynamic range, sharpness and tones by far compared to any other smart phones. Why don't you explore the images and compare yourself? Have fun !
Bunyip22, 30 Jul 2016You carry don't understand how cameras work. On mobile sensors increasing the MP is good to a ... moreBoy sure do I know how those sensors and Megapixels work. Increasing the Megapixel along with the sensor is the key for camera quality. The sensors deal with the light capture and processing. If the Megapixels are less, so is the image resolution. Depending on the time of the day, chances are high that the images could go real soft with visible noise. Check out the Nokia PureView 808 and Lumia 1020. They all are BSI sensors. The image quality is best when compared to any other smart phones. Because the images shot with them can be tamed around in editing and it can stand better even after some decent editing to get rid of the noise artifacts. But when you do the same editing to get rid of the noise from a 12 MP camera sample, Your image turns real crap, because there are not enough pixels to accept the editing changes. The samsung galaxy series phones got terrible sharpening algorithms. It is more like High pass filter effect with halos you could find when you zoom the image properly, The galaxy series smartphone cameras have got no control over the contrast. It is dark, dark and more dark. All I mean is it lacks Dynamic range. You can watch the sample shots from OnePlus3 and I am amazed of the shots I saw, The images are well balanced with decent Dynamic range, sharpness and tones. I would love to try and explore its RAW capability. As you have mentioned your interest, You like phones with better low light capability, Yes everyone likes that. But in the low light the image from your 12MP smartphone is real soft because of the noise that gets filtered out by its processor.Auto ISO is your enemy here. So better pixels are the key here for some decent low light shots, irrespective of the sensor used in the smartphone. If you want to see the image quality of your phone in low light,(No Flash)Try doing a long exposure in RAW mode at night. If you see the noise in your image,It simpy means the camera/sensor is not up to the mark. You are just being fooled about your phone's low light capabilities and just another victim of that smart phone company. Hope you get it !
Biggest 2 bummers will be small battery and 4GB ram! Lets hope they dont do mistakes
Lol note with bigger display and faster cpu than s7 edge but packed with a smaller battery...
I'd love to get a pen but I will stick with my s7 edge this year
Okay i got it... samsung marketing strategy...
They share leaks about 4gb of rams... and then note fans will say "no.. i will stick to my old note etc... "
And they will anounce...
Galaxy note 7 32/64 with 4gb ram
And pro variant with 128gb wirh 6gb varint
EZ there crapple, we don't want you to have a stroke or somethin' :D
Only 3500 mAh battery? Hahaha!!

I got a little excited thinking the title read 'New SG Note 7 Mega' leak. A 6" version of the Note7 would've been nice.

On mobile sensors increasing the MP is good to a certain point. After that more MP simply means more noise (artefacts) . Having a larger sensor & wider aperture are more efficient important in lower light.... Any phone nowadays takes good photos in bright light. I'm extremely happy it is still a 12 MP camera as I want good low light photos.
Ani, 29 Jul 2016Samsung is a South Korean company.. time to brush up your g.k. eh?
