But if you happen to misunderstood, I still respect your opinion about me. I won't dwell about it more than I did and let us move on. Have a good day.
Anonymous, 01 Aug 2016you think that guy has a point? I chuckled when read it.. The S-pen needed or not its depends ... moreYou are talking about 'how' the Note series was created. We are talking about 'do you need it'. We are not even talking about 'why' do we need it.
You see, if you discredit one's point of view, you are ignoring yourself to understand should the confusion arises.
I did not vote although I previously owned a Note 3 as other's opinions(like that guy and yours) matter to me more and I welcome every person's thoughts with proper arguments along the way. Which is why we are all here :)
The S-Pen is the main reason I keep buying Samsung phones. I use it to sketch, draw and write almost every day. To me, a phone without a digitizer pen feels like a small typewriter.

Really useless comment.

Believe we were the second territory globally to get the phone.
Possibly the last to get Marshmallow for it though
A phone that costs more than most peoples biggest tech purchases.
Samsung; you will not see my money a second time.
Support for this device was obviously just what came in the box-got ya money- thanks for playing!
S-pen makes baldurs gate almost playable on a screen size smaller than a tablet.
Daily, for work the s-pen proves useful.
I won't pay a premium to Sammy again; if I have to I will go immaculate second hand unit to replace it... (touches wood)
For my opinion... i think they called it a note series because of the s-pen. What is the partner of a typical notebook? A ballpen... right? If you don't like a pen... so choose another samsung series... so many choose are.
AnonD-292864, 01 Aug 2016I don't find the S-Pen useful. I used Note 3 for nearly 2 years and i haven't used S-Pen even ... moreS-pen can do precision point and select but it is a tiny toys, hold it just like holding a half smaller pencil.
The most important is the size. The S-pen and Note is just Tiny like a toys it can't be as the usual size, so it must have it limit. Furthermore, The Size of the Ram and the Size of the firmware is bulky than usual, do you feel it lag after software update? You shouldn't know the limit for a Tiny.

The S-pen needed or not its depends on the user itself, it's all relative.. And since the beginning Samsung always hinted Note series with its S-pen writing capabilities on their ads, that's why we define S-pen as its main features or as Note series' signature.
If there is no S-Pen in Future Note Series Phones, I would have gotten an S7 Edge by now. S-Pen has been extremely useful to me at work, even though i don't use it on a "daily" basis. So dear Samsung, please don't ditch S-Pen for Note Series. ***Btw, I am using a Note 4 and it's still awesome.

Apart from s-pen artistic and note taking features, it is very very useful. I want and need it. Very nice to use when you can't unlock your phone with fingerprint because you are wearing gloves. Even in the upcoming note 7 with iris scanner, when your are in the dark place and wearing gloves, s-pen all the way will do the unlocking and you will be able to use your phone with it!

The S-pen definitely and undeniably added extra smart and usefulness to smartphone, so by saying that it's pointless made your comment totally pointless, useless, a mere emphasis of ignorance.

It's a mind bending thought that this pen feature is an essential addition and at the same time pointless, all things considered.
I am pretty sure that Some people use the S pen for (showy, bragging, boastful) purposes, to feel more sophisticated and educated if you have a pen (S-pen) in your hands.
and not as advertised by Samsung, that S pen is for productivity and more...
of course others need the S-pen to take notes during a lecture, a meeting, or to use the added capabilities of snapping and sharing any part of the screen (honestly, how often you did this, few times, huh? ;--))
S-Pen is good for closing some Ads on browser that the damm fat fingers can't seem to hit the X accurately.
hey gsma, atleast they pack the pen with the phone, unlike surface 4(which actually can do a lot with the larger screen usin a pen) or apple(well i don't know much about apple, so no trashing on them), how about a poll on S-pen, do you actually use it...that will give a more accurate figure. half of these poll are from people with non pen devices, another portion of them have not used an S-pen in their lives(and no watching it on youtube is useless)...
