n8 is an improvement from n97 but nokia needs more work on UI and web browser. for camera, it needs gd low light performance and led light. It also more apps, better music player. Nokia contact management is very gd though. Nokia is lazi to update its symbian.

I am shure that 80% of people here who now saing that nokia N8 is the best phone and they cant wait to take it in there hand and bhla bhla bhla, after they buy it and play with it for day or two they will be omg this phone is sux and need beter cpu, or common nokia we need firmware couse this phone is full off bug, this will be my last nokia ever,give us better ui .... and so on. We will be here to see it.
BTW i hate IPHONE CRAP !!!!
So if you buy it dont cry,,, use it well.

Not a model i've seen in the UK yet, Moto's market share here is tiny compared to it's V3 RAZR heyday (LG, Sagem, Alcatel and even INQ sell more contract units nowadays), and their new backflip is certainly an "Aquired taste" for looks and style
Would love engadget to compare the HDMI out quality of it Vs the N8 though

It is awful and don't tell me it is fake as why the hell the reviewer from well known site like techradar lies about the video when he knows nokia gonna sues him for that. techradar is europe company and so not only american reviewers show bad points. N8 is indeed not very good and it is only 50 pounds cheaper than iph4 in uk

Think my 42" HDTV will have a better screen than a phone when viewing my HD movies (both filmed from the N8 and downloaded from *cough* torrent sites)
Why not plug a few phones into a HDMI TV to compare... oh no wait, only the N8 can do that
Nevermind you could try using a standard component lead to the TV, oh no wait, Nokia gave them free in the box with N95, 5800, N97 etc
Ok, let's bluetooth clips taken on an iPhone and then show them via HDMI.... wait again i need to jailbreak the Iphone before i can do that
Got a solution, simply bring a HD recording phone and it's USB cable, turn on Mass storage mode and use the N8 as the USB HOST to pull content from the USB SLAVE thanks to the joy of USB OTG

I just played with n8 at nok store. It is ok for everyday use but a bit slow compare to my galaxy S and of course iph4. N8 is slow esp for game loading
