One thing the ignorant misses out is that Symbian is insanely customizable with apps that, yes, you have to look for.
My N95 homescreen looks like an HTC right now..

I agree with you GSMArena.Other sites have a strange review comments in most Nokia models.And of course a camera comparison with Apple is just playing dirty.Nokia has a better camera and optics,but as you have written it's a lot going on there and there are to many factors to consider.Is the Nokia N8 the perfect phone? No...is the N8 a big rival to iPhone4? Ofcourse it is!But every phone has it drawbacks and you should have a profesionally review of each phone for himself,not to compare with the iPhone and said that it cant beat him.In some cases no,but in others yes.And I think that the N8 will be a great phone because Nokia has put a lot of work in it

Yea you guys did go biased against Nokia, YOU yourselves said you where biased against the N96 and the reviews that followed with N78, N85 and N79 where all biased and you see how it feels?
You guys love the N8, thats great, but its a little to last to start showing love to Nokia, all the Nokia fans have understood that and this sudden mood swing towards Nokia after the N8 is weird
ever since you guys did that interview with the N8 camera guy you've been in Love with the N8 so your actually being the one biased towards Nokia, using big words like
"Nokia N8 in all its 12MP glory"

The other sites are being fair, i've had a N8 dev proto for a Month, mine's not even retail its near final hardware and early software and yes the N8 is a good phone much better than the junk that was N97 but its not near Android or iOS in terms of usability
in Hardware the camera and GPU are killer and Symbian^3 doesn't need 1GHz its fine with 600+ and the AMOLED is pretty sick
But i will agree, the Engadget photoshot and video test was g.ay, i've taken much better pics and videos with a proto.

Multitasking which it s... morewhy no mms at the launch of iphone? 3g data plan is not used widely as today. till now not many ppl use mms. I can easily send email with photos which is cheaper and hi tech. Apple is trying to get best way to implemet folder, Look how it implements now, Multitasking on iph4 won't drain battery or slows down like my f***ing n97. N97 gives me worst experience of my life. I paid so much n got shit ph compared to my fri iph 3g. This time i made right choice

If it was a homescreen, it'd only have relevant information in the way symbian and android bring stuff out. Really.

The 5800 had widgets and live information. With MODIFICATIONS, you can make the 5800 (or N97 or N8 for that matter) look like the iPhone or whatever else.
I don't even know why you're comparing the 2 homescreens like one copied the other cause that's not the case. They are 2 totally different things here!

Every forum i'm on doesn't pay attention to Engadget or Gizmodo these days for reviews on mobiles the only place we really look to provide a proper critique is well... GSMArena
Hope to see/read your review on the N8. I can't tell you how frustrating it is on deciding on my next cell phone from these reviews which are clearly trying to manipulate the end user.
I'm surprised at engadget and gizmodo they've put the final nail in their coffin with the N8 fiasco and the thing is they probably don't even know it.

Give some credit to Nokia. They actually added things like kinetic scrolling onto 5800 through software fixes, and didn't force you to upgrade your whole mobile phone for incremental upgrades (such as those folders). Oh, Right. iOs 4.0. Doesn't work that well on 3gs, now does it? Is that some lag I see?

Couldn`t agree more GSM Arena. Btw we all know that, beside the fact that engaged is a very good website, they clearly LOVE Iphones before all other brands, and usually peaople from USA don`t like nokias, so there you go. That`s why i like gsm arena, non-biased, and you always give every phone a chance.
