As time goes by, samsung will have perfected the curved screen. Indeed, i've tinkered with the note 7 display units for a significant while and i found no real inconvenience with its curved edges. I didn't accidentally tap on icons or swipe here or there, i didn't find the viewing angles distorted, i didn't have to awkwardly position my hands so that i don't block the screen. Nothing of the sort the edge haters continually spout. Perhaps those issues were present in the previous edge iterations but with the note 7, they were nonexistent. If samsung wishes to forego the flat screen altogether for next year and the years farther ahead, the note 7 appears to be the best step they've so far taken toward that wish becoming a wise investment.
No comment please!
It is as simple as that :
If the galaxy note 7 will be a hit, we will only see the edge model .
If its flop, then both model .
Anyway ,I hate the edge.
I hated the s7 edge curved screen. It just gets in the way and I ended up catching it unintentionally, the standard s7 is great, I'm much happier.
I love S7's grip, but i hate Edge's. No more Samsung, if they're only "E" variants.
i now realize that most people commenting here don't even Own these phones,i love my s7 edge like crazy ,the best piece of gadget i have ever owned, those curves give me life, keep on whining,we will buy cause we sure love them curves
Or they could go all-out curve and whatever experiments they may conjure up ahead to their S series and leave the flats to their Note line
BlazyB, 08 Aug 2016I can sit here and read all yo comments about how much you hate the curves in the galaxies and... moreWell, those OTHER ALTERNATIVES you talk of will soon disappear as well once they see the people buy these premium sexy slim stylish iphoney models.
Which end up getting covered in silly protective cases anyway.
Nobody said they hate Samsung, again it's just the screen viewing on curved screens. I'm pretty sure both Apple and Samsung will be more creative and fix this problem when it comes to curved screen viewing.
BlazyB, 08 Aug 2016I can sit here and read all yo comments about how much you hate the curves in the galaxies and... moreI have a Galaxy S, Galaxy S2, Galaxy s4, Galaxy Note 4 and was looking foward buying a Note 7 so I think I´m not a samsung hater but...I dislike Edge variants, period.
This saddly will force me to look for my next phone elsewhere even if Samsung has the best HW, the screen is the most important component in a phone for me.
I can sit here and read all yo comments about how much you hate the curves in the galaxies and I wonder if it was an iPhone with those curves, would you hate?
Weren't you all hating Samsung for when they were making practical phones using plastic? Didn't you ask for premium looks?
Well here you go, sealed phone with curved screen, slap some glass back and front and viola, premium looks. Bye the way we lost good old removable battery because of yo whines and complaints.
One last thing weren't you guys critising Samsung for having a similar design to other OEM's say apple and Sony? Oh you remember that now don't you?
Eat this for breakfast, lunch, dinner whatever. Samsung is trying its level best to establish its own signature design. The double edge screen are a Samsung flagship design signature and they are here to stay.
Don't like them? Look for other alternatives.
Anonymous, 08 Aug 2016S7E was more popular because of the bigger battery. Dumb.I think majority of your usual consumers doesn't know the battery is bigger, most of them buy it base on how it looks and how it feels and the brand.
Someone Else, 08 Aug 2016To anyone who wishes to buy an edge variant of any Samsung phone, don't read too much about in... moreWell, let's say you wanna use it on a selfie stick or mount on tripod, the usual clamp would be to the ones that squeeze the sides. With a flat screen type, it's holding on to the metal rim, how about for the Edge? Cos the rim is minimal metal, will it be squeezing on the glass as well?
Tucking Fypo, 08 Aug 2016Edge screens not my thing coz i can't put screenguards properly. Its harder to find a screen protector (presumably glass) for the standard s7 than the edge. The 2.5d glass of the standard s7 is the most annoying aspect i find.
Edge screens not my thing coz i can't put screenguards properly.
