Anonymous, 09 Aug 2016He said ONE of the best. Anyway, i manage to squeeze around 32hrs with about 3hrs of SOT from ... moreShame that as a high-end phone you still get less than 6 hours of SOT. I've Lenovo Vibe P1 - not the Turbo version with a mid-range SD615 processor with 2GB RAM and 5000 mAh Battery with a 1080p 5.5 inch screen and I get a SOT of 12 hours minimum. Am a heavy user and my phone typically lasts more than 2 days on a full charge. #SammyFans
The ad linked to above is quite lame compared to others in what must be a series of them.
Another thread commentor mentions Robert Downey Jnr, who appears to be in the Taco truck exploding one (he had to stay behind cause 'his phone was still charging')
Glovers' last words (reflecting, to his wife on the action 'movie' he has just watched himself in..) "it is not my best work"
That ad was funny!
Good work on amusing 'infomercials' Samsung
Waltz is a brilliant actor as well. Keep up the nice advertising messages..
Umm do our phones cost more so you can let other phone buyers know that your phones are 'best'?
If so; stop it. Just stop. Stop now.
Thankyou for the 'free 256Gb' sd card btw (and watch and vr and store coupons etc -market dependant)
How much are these phones actually worth?
Take away the freebies, take away the advertising, and you might sell more flagships, available at a lower price point.
But investors don't like 'lower' average unit sale prices.
Funny world we live in....
Note7 is guaranteed to have the best battery life of all premium flagships including even the S7 edge by the fact that it can tone down its 2.5K display to a mere HD and also tone down its CPU performance, limit its peak auto brightness and by the fact that it's the first and only phone to have Dual Ambient Light Sensors for significantly improved Automatic Brightness.

The best comparison would be the regular Galaxy S4 an... moreFine then even comparing the s4 and s4 gpe, the touchwiz variant still had better battery life. Dont believe me, here's a link below. If doze was responsible for the good battery life in s7 why does the 6p still have ~2.5% less battery life even when s7 has 450 mah less battery. Dont even compare the s7 edge cause it leads with ~25% more battery even if it has only 150 mah more battery. And u say comparing them is like comparing apples and oranges? Really? Both run android plus the galaxies run on heavier touchwiz (a skin on android, if u didnt know). So your argument is not valid at all. The only reason I would choose a nexus, over galaxy is for the fast upgrades and if google manages to fix the fragmentation issue i wont even look at the nexus phones. About the link anyways : http://blog.gsmarena.com/battery-test-for-the-samsung-galaxy-s4-google-play-edition-are-done-here-are-the-results/
I got ~6 hrs sot with ~3 hrs total of playing heavy games, and around 20% of juice left
Hotkolbas, 09 Aug 2016glover needs to drop the "im too old for this sh*t" line from lethal weapon to get maximum effect.Yeah, that'd be awesome
Qxdir, 09 Aug 2016I wish all companies focused more on battery life Most companies already focused on sealed non-removable battery, that's a progress...
The S7 has decent battery life but it is the Edge that can confidently support that.

The best comparison would be the regular Galaxy S4 and the Galaxy S4 Google Play Edition. Exact same hardware, one with TW, one stock. And the GP Edition exhibited better battery life back then. Now that's with older Android OS and Touch Wiz. Still, considering the improvements of Marshmallow Doze is well documented, while whatever Samsung does with TouchWiz is anybody's guesses, I am going to say that the battery improvements here would probably more due to the optimization done on Marshmallow, rather than Samsung's own effort in the software.
smartass, 09 Aug 2016Battery sucks in my galaxy s7 exynos variant... keeping that aside everything is awesome If you are a gamer then there is no problem for your phone. And it charges quiet fast. Wouldn't be an issue...

Hi-tech, 09 Aug 2016touchwiz best battery management? i thought it was stamina mode from sony.He said ONE of the best. Anyway, i manage to squeeze around 32hrs with about 3hrs of SOT from my Note 5. Could have been better but i can't really complain since ALL smartphones has bad battery life. I dunno what is with the Sony stamina mode thingy, my friend is still saying the battery life of Sony phone sucks.

Though those dont necessarily mean actual usage it gives a general idea about the usage ur going to get. About your stock vs touchwiz point, nexus doesnt have a very good reputation of a very good battery life even with less bloatware. Touchwiz however has one of the best battery life management systems out their on the market.
If only there was some way to make the battery removable and swap in a new fully charged batter....

they could make it 12 hours in the ad instead of 12 minutes but whatever
I wonder how much of these "better battery life" claim are due to the OEMs (Samsung's) effort, or Google's own Android improvements (ie. Doze). I mean seriously. Samsung is notorious for putting so many crap features on previous touch wiz. It's not until now that they dialed down a lot on touch wiz. Less bloat = better battery life obviously, but how does it compare to plain stock Android?
