yeah..if the renders are real about the camera bump and G5 modular like open bottom....ts totally a fail, fail, fail
Qxdir, 10 Aug 2016Who said we want a slim body? Many consumers, unless the most important and influential ones. I don't think the companies are hearing us about thickness of mobile phones, maybe pretending. I'm tired of send emails and making posts asking for them to fill the phones with battery :/
LG beleives there is future in their innovation, there is a plenty room for it, that is why LG continue their work to all their flagship phone. Other brand? Just stay stagnant...but not LG...
Anonymous, 10 Aug 2016Another USELESS and CRAP comment, why on earth do you like to put down the greatest innovation... moreYou misunderstood me. I was supporting LG until the release of G5. The lack of removable back eliminated the possibility of replacing the battery to a bigger, higher capacity one. For example, you can buy a 9000mAh ZeroLemon extended battery for LG V10 which is about 3x bigger than the stock, but can you find ANY extended battery for G5? No, you can't.
I support the REAL modular phone design, like the original Project Ara phones. But the Project Ara went to the wrong direction: the battery, screen, CPU, RAM are a single unit now, they are not replaceable anymore. So we can consider Project Ara as dead now. (Non-removable battery in a modular phone? It's ridiculous and shame on Google.)

Just because your S7 dont have those features or any brand there is? Or you are just so INSECURE cause you cannot enjoy those G5 features, that you do the reverse comment? LG please support your innovation, your doin the right thing like modular, dual cam innovation. I like your way on changing batteries. Snaping from the bottom just like a magazine of bullets, retain all features from G5 and release and mass produced those modules for G5 and V20...
It's another disappointing device from LG.
- They should have to keep the removable back cover because without it there is no way to use higher capacity, extended battery in this phone.
- The dual camera is a gimmick crap. They should have to use a good single camera with f1.6 or f1.7 aperture and larger pixel size. (like Samsung did in S7)
- They should have to add heat sink pipe cooling to dissipate heat from CPU/GPU (like Samsung did in S7)
The modular design is useless gimmick. The useful "modular" slot is the micro USB port with USB OTG support. Most flagship phones support it. And LG's modular features are joke compared to what you can do with an USB OTG:
Also you can watch TV without internet connection by using DVB-T TV tuner.
Or they should just release a Snapdragon 820 version of LG G4. It would be a much better phone than G5 and V20. (Samsung tend to release a refreshed version of their flagships with the latest CPU). And it's a joke that LG use Snapdragon 820 in V20 instead of 821 or 823.
icanhazdroid, 10 Aug 2016Tell that to their recent quarterly earnings. Lg will be fine ; nothing to worry about.

Anonymous, 10 Aug 2016HOW can they screw this up!? ONLY thing they needed to do: -Get rid of the gimmicky "secon... morefor that specs you have G5 meh...why they will do a higher end device with the same screen size?! they really need bigger screen and a dual screen - and isnt gimmick, you dont have a V10 to say that, is useful enought to LG keep it on V20.
I think V20 just disappointed m, just like the G5. What happened to LG's superb desiggnnnn 😭😭
