its on prepay on tuesday 129GBP so how come gsm says just released? i am getting one for that price,who cares about froyo i used t-mobile pulse for 6 months and was eclair and enjoyed it and did everything i wanted ,,GO S/E your on the up and up..

Dont buy this phone! Or any Sony Ericsson. You'll only get android 2.1 update. Thats it.

Wow the pricing is really reasonable. Rs. 11,000/- in India which is like right at the heels of Samsung Monte with WiFi and GPS but not Android.
Will the GPS solution be free from google like in the US and London?
Just had the nagging wish the camera could have had Flash and AF. 3.2 is ok for the price tag. Wanted it to out compete the evergreen Nokia 5800.

If the update is coming this month, whats the point releasing it now with donut?? Saw this in Dubai store yesterday, it costs Dhs 949 while Motorola Quench is Dhs 1099. I'd rather get the Moto - better build, better camera, more RAM bigger screen and this one will get update to Froyo. I dont think the SE will ever reach Froyo, they will save that for other models. The best it will get is Eclair.

Why is it coming out with 1.6 why not 2.1 then upgrade to 2.2?Cause SE had already prototyped and planned this phone for a long long time(about the time when X10 out) and it is planned to come with donuts so it will come with donuts. Beside, also may be SE is weak in making smartphone(or at least porting Android), like what they done to the X10 series(stuck at donuts too).

At Vodafone Romania its price is 190 euros sim free, 2 years guarantee. And yes, it's coming with android 1.6 because it takes more time to optimize it. Anyway, I think it's one of the best UIs from Android (my opinion).

Dave, 08 Oct 2010I dont get it. Why is it coming out with 1.6 why not 2.1 then upgrade to 2.2?It is due the SE UI if it far more complex than most other overlapping UI's so it is taking longer to integrate into the andriod base without getting glitches,
