Using more ram uses more battery. Having more ram doesn't I'm sure there's a difference there somewhere...

Tekkie, 24 Aug 2016Completely wrong. Google will help your IQ, if you let it.Using more ram drains the battery more. Obviously. Just Google it.

And it was the reason why the op3 had aggressive ram management and made the 6gb ram phone effectively act like it had a lot less.

More RAM = shorter battery life. RAM takes power to refresh and maintain reliability, battery size and weight is limiting factor.

mir, 16 Aug 2016Google would really want to push people in using cloud based services for their storage needs,... moreI'm using google's cloud storage myself, and I can tell - nothing beats microSD/built-in memory access speed. You can't download a file from the net immediately, no matter how good the cloud is. My internet connection speed will be the bottleneck, and Google can't change that. Not in the entire world.

Seeing how Samsung brought back microSD in its latest devices, I hope more companies will follow suit. Or, at least, up the minimum storage to 32gb.

Herodroid, 15 Aug 2016oh god are you really that dumb? nexus 4 was 4 years ago, remember? this is 2016 now, glass on... more1. To save money the back may not be as strong as the front.
2. Watch some gn7 drop tests from one metre and realise that it requires a case.
3. What is the point of glass if it is inside a plastic case? Might as well make the phone out of plastic, save money and pocket space.

A 64GB Marlin would be perfect, I can't even consider that fishy phone bc of its weak 2,770 mAh battery. Goggles why u do dis? ;-;

mir, 16 Aug 2016Google would really want to push people in using cloud based services for their storage needs,... moreIf there is no micro SD card then 64GB must be base model. If it has Micro SD card then 32GB as base model is fine. Considering camera quality, it needs to be min of 32/64GB storage.

Yuri84, 15 Aug 2016I surely hope they drop the 16gb variant permanently in favor of 64/128gb variant. Or include ... moreGoogle would really want to push people in using cloud based services for their storage needs, so the micro sd slot will almost never be implemented ever again on a nexus device. They might raise the base storage to 32gb though.
