YEAH very accurate. My 4 months old Z5 doesnt even know the words like lag & crash etc. Its fast and most stable. No external or internal app crashes ever like never ever. Very sad that poor Samsung lost this competition to small fishes like Sony, Motorola etc. because Samsung focuses on selling more units while Sony focuses on overall user experience that is why most people who are or have been Sony Xperia users, will always remember the taste of Sony's UI unlike Samsung's who has become Huawei-ish/Apple-ish in UI. The same reason is for their late updates which i never mind because whenever their update lands on the phone, its bug-free and stable.
Yup, Sony phones provide best user xperience, alawys did and always will....
Good to know and if Android gives hotfix as Ubuntu does, it wont fragment uh hah
I've been using Sony Products since their incarnation and they never disappoint except for bashers and trolls who bash them....
Haters gotta hate I guess....
Anyway other Japan Products like Sharp, Panasonic, Toshiba, etc. are good products aswell....
As a sony user they are the best with stability. I have my over 3 year old z on 5.1 and it is great! Only one update caused severe battery drain (5.01?). Sony listened their users and fixed with 5.1. Only bad thing is Sony is stripping back their services which I have been using for 6 years.
Sami is King and queen of both being late in updates and crashs. ATT is the Emperor in being late updating phones
way to go!! that's really interesting information on devices
thumbs up again for gsmarena ;)
AnonD-510275, 18 Aug 2016Wow, I can belive it. Sony *thumbs up*Real Sony owners of cells and there other tech know they build Quality, durable and performance products... Not surprised!
Just surprised how GSM and other readers play it off like its a surprise. Hehe
If you want a phone for long lasting sony is the best. It will last more than 5 years even the battery. But if you want every 1 or 2 years use samsung and lg is better choice. You could resell it in good price after 2 years. Other brand are duspossable, 1 year got problem and very low price on reselling.
Interesting. Whilst I wait for the Note7, I bought a used two year old Sony Xperia Z2. I expected it to behave as such: Slow, buggy, unreliable etc. But in the hands (all glass rear) and in operation, it feels like a premium 2016 phone. And it has been well used by the previous owner(s), scratched edges and corners, but fully operational. It has Marshmallow, and is fast and responsive, the screen is lovely, the audio quality is good through the headphones (but quiet), stereo speakers quiet, perhaps related to the headphone audio? Could be something I need the tweak? ONLY real con through is that the camera, despite being the same sensor as in the Samsung S5 (apparently), is useless. It doesn't auto focus properly on anything, the low light images are very noisy, and you have to go to Manual mode to get 20MP. Effectively, the camera is pointless. Oh, and the 4K video mode has been disabled in Marshmallow and the 1080P video is awful qualty. It's possible that the camera is damaged, so I'll let that slip.
But the point is, my two year old Z2 is stable, fast and slick, and the Sony UX is nice and well, Sonyish! They even let you uninstall most of the apps, including Facebook. Yay! I bought the Sony dock for it too, so can charge it at night without faffing around with a cable. If it wasn't for the camera, I would keep it for a bit longer.
